Well compared to some of you, this is absolutely nothing. I've seen some pretty ****ty accidents on this forum, but today my poor elantra was hit by a Ford Territory and I'm angry as hell.

Here is a MS paint version of what happened:

I was turning with the right of way, and had 96% completed my turn when the old guy in the ford territory misjudged and put the hammer down TOO EARLY!
Its like WAIT for the other car to finish the turn before you turn please! FFS!

This is the outcome of trying to turn a corner with the right of way:

Conclusion:
Insurance companies will be involved, not sure on costs at this point, but don't expect much/if anything! out of pocket, and I doubt my premium will rise, seeing as it was his fault and he admitted it. Majorly pissed about it, because I didn't do anything wrong, and it feels so unfair!
I've never been involved in a moving collision before, and I was shaking so much after it, but I guess these things happen and it'll be fixed, I'm just venting my anger! ANGER! FRUSTRATION! ARGH!!!!
Time for some CSS and much much alcohol (I already started ;) ) It was today that I wanted a 'break' from drinking too, well f**k that now.

Sorry to hear about your crash. CSS does solve most problems in the world, goodluck planting the bomb and rescuing hostages.

Your car will be good as new before you know it. At least it's still driveable until everything gets settled, right? My son totaled a car a month after he got his license and lived to tell the tail. But I know that "shaking all over feeling".... not much fun, eh?

Reminds me of when I threw the car in a ditch.

Warning, O/T!
CSS does solve most problems in the world, goodluck planting the bomb and rescuing hostages.
How true. :) I actually just started playing since the player base for HL2DM in OZ has dropped dramatically, it's even hard to find 1 decent server in the 7-11pm timeslot. Now after two weeks, I'm playing well enough to enjoy it. My favourite map is the office, and I spend many hours there as a terrorist.
End of Warning

Thanks for the moral support guys, it means a lot to me.
I had a relaxing evening, and got a couple of quotes today (don't know the prices coz it goes straight to the insurance company), now the insurance assessor needs to take a look, and it should be all fixed before the new year, fingers x'ed.

If I'm able to get it fixed at my body shop of preference, I will also take this opportunity to get my 'rear trunk black strip where the key goes' and my side mirrors fully painted body color, so that could be exciting.

Cheers,
Mark

I think everyone should post a drawing like that (or like Mr. Dan) when they get in accidents, it makes the post so much fuller, richer, and overall better.

Sorry about what happened, but it looks like everything will be ok.
