other than junkyard searching (which has turned up nothing), going to the dealer (too expensive), and searching online (same as junkyard) is there a cheaper/easier way to redo my interior other than painting/dying? i dont like the "mess" involved in painting, but will if it comes down to it.

There isn't really any better way. AHI should be able to help with most of it though.

Isnt not a good idea to have seat covers on seats that have air bags?

nope, its not... but my airbag hasnt been working for sometime now. i bet if i were to take the seat covers off and put the fuse back in, the light would go away... ill try it when its less cold though

30 degrees makes it tough to do ANY work on the damn car...

12 degrees outside when I put the strut bar in and re-wired the reverse glow gauges to the cigarette lighter yesterday, 18 when I put the 3 way washer nozzles in today...no garage, outside my apartment building. It can still be done, you just have to have a warm place to go to when you're finished.

eBay would be the cheapest and easiest. Find any of the sellers that are selling interior parts for your year. Send them a message to find out if they've got the whole dash, center console, door panels, etc. Whatever you are looking for, I'm sure they'll be able to get for you.
I'm building up a 91 CRX DX right now for a track slut. I've found every JDM Si interior piece on eBay, and though I've spent 127.++, I've got everything but the passenger side door panel, and that includes driver's side, dash, cluster, center console, etc.
Good luck in your endeavor though. Oh, BTW, since you are in VA, depending on how close to Richmond you are, you could contact a local CarMax Superstore, and find out who they use for their interior repair. You might be able to get hooked up at a cheap price, or even be given a few tips to help you out.

there is actually a carmax near my house (about 20mins away, i could just call them)
I did some searching on hyundaiparts website and it would be about 1k for everything before shipping... so closer to 2k to redo everything just with the parts
