My dad finally came home from Korea today
And like he promised, he brought Roadruns Grill for +04 Elantras and the eyelids that Ilan has (dreamka4u sells them)
Despite how much I wanna install them, its already 10pm so I will have to wait until tomm morning
But here is a quick preview of what they are like :-)

Yes they are.... good observation. They look great on Ilan's car once they are molded to the headlight.

that will mold to the headlight....i think they were thinking that they were FG and not flexible and if they were flat they obviously would not fit correctly.

I JUST GOT MY GRILL INSTALLED
SORRY FOR THE CAPS BUT IM SO EXCITED~!!!!
Here are the pics of them

http://www.nitrousworld.com/pictures/Installed Roadruns right.jpg
http://www.nitrousworld.com/pictures/Installed Roadruns front.jpg

I think they look pretty slick
The install took me around 30 minutes, I had hard time getting 12 screws off and then putting them back on
The only con about this grill is that like I have posted earlier in another thread, they come in "cool grey" color (direct translation from Korean)
I plan on painting them flat black to match my oem grill lid
I also plan on meshing my air dam~!!!
What u guys think?

i say paint the upper part of the grille same color as the grille. it will break up all the black a lot better

Keyan

Hmm. Cool. I think that upper bar sits too far "in" if you know what I mean.

Not my style but still hot!

KDM molding Please

ericbeck

KDM molding Please

lol no way i am dropping that much money ($50?) just to get rid of amber sidemarkers, at least for now
I was thinking, either to smoke them or buy this lamin-x stuff
http://lamin-x.com/ecommerce/os/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=272&products_id=107&osCsid=3ed25e6ef6f934af833aa0242db5b97e
Then I could prob take out the bulb or unplug the wire to stop it from lightning up

Keyan, I hear what u are saying but I think it might not look so "in" once I match the colors

I'm with Evan - paint the hood grille trim to match the rest of your new grille and it will look hot. I like the lines of this thing, though. Good find, congrats on the look!

I think the grill looks bad ***... now you just have to go get a pedicure, but don't paint your toe nails flatblack!

looks great, but i agree with everyone else that the top part of the grill needs to be painted. i don't know how crazy i am about eyelids. maybe only the top.

rofl dude,
first of all, the quality of pics is really really bad
thats why my toe looks ****ty
u want me to take another pic of my toe???
second of all, i am an all-year around soccer player
thats why my toe might be just a little bit, only a bit, dry and cracked
nevertheless, its not to an extent where people should be making fun of it
lol i think people are just jealous of the new grill ;-) (jk)

btw, guys, i DO intend to paint it to match the grill lid so dont worry
im just not sure whether to follow evan's advice and paint the lid silver, or just paint the grill flat black as i originally planned

menallychllngd
12-17-2005, 08:17 PM
paint the top. the silver looks good it makes ure new aftermarket grill stand out and look pretty. if it were black someone would have to take a second glance at it to realize that it was not the stock grill. silver it bites them in the *** and they cannot look away.

Looks great on the car, and will look even better once painted. Don't forget to take pics of the Eyelines after you get those painted and installed.

Do you want to sell your old grill? PM me and let me know...

nice grille, now we gotta see the eyelids. Just a question, did ya save a lot of money by having your dad get them in Korea?

yeah well, in korea, my dad got the grill for 100 dollar shipped and the eyelids for 18 dollars shipped
in the US, u can get both from evofusion and dreamka4u for $165 + $52 = $217
but for me personally, it saved me a lot of money cause i didn't have to pay for the items ;-)
my dad just bought them and never asked me to pay him

my old grill, i don't think i will be selling it
only because i could prob only get around 50 bux for it
and i'd rather just keep the original parts so when I give the car to my sister, i can install the OEM parts and sell off the aftermarket parts (thats right, i can only have this car for around 8 more months, then off to college)
So maybe in August, 2006, you can buy my roadruns grill~!

for anybody that cares, the eyelines form dreamka4u suck, well at least mine did. they got hot one day in the summer and started drooping about a quarter of an inch and also started getting wrinkles in them (not from paint, the material just bends and warps when exposed to heat) so don't install them if you live in a hot area or if you do place them high so they sag to the right spot.

i did get the chrome vertical grill from them and I love it tho
