Yup, Starting 12/21/05 I will be going to school a good 45 miles away from home. M-Th 7:15-2:45!

It's an hour drive to get there, but I think it's worth it, being that it's...

Good luck in school and don't give up. I've given up twice, but I've been blessed to go back a third time come next summer, and I intend to stick with it this time.

You may just find yourself moving up in reputation since you'll have acess to a dyno basicaly free, wherein you might be able to be a test bed for all kinds of things.

Once again, good luck man, and stick it out...

Good luck, this past semester I've been commuting to school a hour away, and it can be tough when you don't have enough sleep but its a good chance to have more time to be "in tune" with your car especially if you're doing mostly highway miles. And a tip on fuel economy: you can average about 40mpg by keeping at 55-65 (at least I did) you have to factor in that cost of those extra gallons you'll be spending on commuting. So make sure you get a good headstart on your trips and plan ahead for crappy weather and traffic.

I'm going to the one in Mahwah actually.

And I don't know who starts it right before christmas but these guys do.

It's about a 45 mile drive there....an hour's drive.

That's 90 miles a day Monday - Thursday.

And many many miles per month.

I'll be doing the Automotive Technology one, I graduate January '07.

The parking lot is full of tuned/ricer cars so I think I'll be having ALOT of fun.

:):)

Thanks everyone.

Ok, I've been thinking about a few things, trying to figure out what I want to do with my life (don't really want to work in Developmental Services forever...) and I remembered this thread. I love working on my car, and I've always been good at learning things like this, or building. I wanted to be a builder, but recently I have been asked by a few people about whether mechanic was in the cards for me, and it is now.

So my question is...

Does anyone in Canada know a similar course to this one that Keyan is taking?
