We will all meet at Chris's house (NT.com username: BassTib). He has been kind enough to allow us to meet there for the DIY portion, and then we can head down to the park. River Legacy park is a HUGE park with multiple parking lots, so to reduce confusion he's offered to let us meet at his home.

I suggest mapquesting his address to get the best directions to it. Heres his address:

Also, concerning the food...

We will all chip in a certain amount (probably $5) and get something while we are there. Chris lives near a grocery store, so if we decide to BBQ we can just go there and pick up meat, chicken, and all that other crap and then go at it. The reason we chose to do this is also to reduce any confusion.. it would really suck if everyone brought chips when only 1 person was supposed to. I don't want to pig out on chips, and I'm sure you don't either lol.

ok guys, small change of plans regarding the BBQ/cookout

instead of bringing stuff to the meet.. why don't we all just chip in a certain amount when we get there? say.. like $5 per person? if need be we can raise it to like $7.. im pretty sure it wont be anything over $10 per person at all.. probably not even close to it. as far as grilling goes, kartunez can grill.. i just need to find out if he's got the grill already (probably does.. but it doesnt hurt to be sure).

and we also have to think about this.. they're banning anything that can cause a fire state-wide.. so we may end up just going to a restaurant. one of us should call.. i think ill give them a call monday or something unless someone else can do it for me :)

Alright guys.. i've got some bad news and some good news.

Bad news first.

BBQ is banned at this time. Kartunez from NT.com called up the parks facilities and they told him that it wasn't allowed. So the BBQ is out of the picture for the parks.

But here's the good news.

If people still want to BBQ, Chris (BassTib) may allow us to use his backyard and just BBQ there. We may end up just having the meet at Chris' place instead of going to the parks, but that is all up to you guys on the day of the meet.

Basically its down to either BBQ-ing at his house, or going out to a restaurant (theres plenty within a 10 min driving area from Chris' house)

I will update this on DFWHyundais.com immediately as well, just in case those Kia owners that Doohickie was talking about are checking out that thread.
