Was just browsing around and stumbled across this blow off valve, I had never heard of it before but its a really good idea I think. Basically the problems are if you recirculate you get no noise but no engine problems and CEL's, and if you don't recirculate you get lots of noise, but potential engine problems and CEL's. This pretty much gives you the best of both worlds, video:

Pretty cool BOV eh? lol

Nice linkage!
I found the 'deceptor pro' BOV very unique and appealing.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this only applies to cars with a MAF, it doesn't apply to MAP.

Man, that's nice. Being able to adjust the spring preload on it should make for some very nice tunability. Very cool concept. I like it, you can go stealth and recirc the bleed-off, or you can go loud to show off, or a bit of both. That would be a very nice add-on for a car that comes turboed from the factory. I wish they'd have made those back when I had my SAAB.

seeing how he has an XD2, and it is MAF, that will work for him.

is sweat the new way of saying sweet? lol

I wasn't trying to correct him, I was just making sure for my own information.

Right, MAF sensored cars are the ones that end up with those problems. Although it is best to recirculate MAF or MAP right?

I fixed my misspelling for the topic lol

There's no reason to recirculate MAP as far as I know. I also beleive that if you keep the MAF in the stock location, and put the blow off valve before the MAF, then you won't have to recirculate either. The problem comes from letting out air that has already been read by the MAF, if the air never get's read then you can let it out. If that makes sense.

Makes sence, but the MAF can't be in its stock location for the turbocharged setup, it needs to be in the turbo inlet piping somewhere, it won't correctly meter the air if its in the pressurized tubes, also it may melt from the high intake temperatures. I think the only reason why people recirculate MAP cars is to keep the flow more continuous when the BOV is open, instead of the turbo just pushing air out into the atmosphere it keeps it in the system making it easier for the turbo to flow.

Hey Matt, how did the car drive home after John retuned it?
