580??? even if it IS in canadian dollars..
that translates to 497... +500 with shipping.
i'm "go-for-coolest-phone-in-the-market" type of a guy myself but i could never see myself spending +500 bucks for one. that's almost 1/4 of a alpine stage 0 turbo kit!!
haha. that's how i'd look at it. xd > a phone.

I'm too lazy to figure out what $580 Canadian is in U.S. dollars, but seems to me that Motorola made the Razr even better with the 1 megapixel camera and the iTunes capability. I don't care for the iTunes since I already have an iPod, but the 1 megapixel camera should be a decent improvement over the existing.

I recently got the Razr and so far I haven't had a problem. The only complaint I have is that because of it's size and wider shape, you'll be more prone to dropping it. It's a nice phone when it's free or less than $100. I wouldn't pay $300 for a cell phone because I would never get my money worth's out of it when I only do light talking and no emails.

The last motorola phone I owned was the T720 which I was hugely disappointed with, but since then their phones have improved a bit.

If you want a reliable phone, Nokia is the brand to get but for the past few years I don't know where their designers went. It was as if they decided to stop making cool phones and concentrated only on candy-bar phones with yesterday's technology.

I used to work for ATT/Cingular and a few years ago, the majority of the employees were using Nokia. I still have some friends there using the 5165. Nokia phones can take quite a beating. In fact all the Nokia's that I own were only replaced because I got tired of its styling, never because the phone went dead. I can't say the same for Motorola. Even my wife's 1 year old V555 is starting to have issues with recharging.

I would say no. $500 is way too much for something that will be junk in less than 2 years.

Being a technology junkie I'd have to say yes. :) Beautiful design and functional. What a cell phone should be. Besides, it's only money.

I have a free cell phone and I always will. I just don't get the point of having one that does more than what a phone should do: allow you to talk to someone else. I really don't understand when people get a cell phone to impress others.

I voted 'get it', because it seems you're really into it, and if you need the better camera function, then why not?

Personally though I have the same view as SuperGLS,
I don't even like my current phone because of the color screen, and want to go back to black on green or blue.
