I know a few people wanted to see when it was done because I think the pics of it are on yahama's JR2 I searched and found a few threads but no pics.. so ill have them up tomorrow when I have it done..

so far painted hinges (candy red looks darker in ****ty webcam pic though lol)

btw question I want to put 2 blue high power led's on the bottom of the trunk lid sthat shoot right on the cone of my kicker Solo's because they look beyond awsome when lights hitting them and reflecting off them currently my 36" neon is just lighting up the amp because its mounted on the bottom of the rear deck and it just doesnt give the right beam of light for the job anyways

Your truck may be to heavy to do it, and if your doing it with those hinges, be careful, you will have to fold them over the hinges of the trunk themselves.

I dunno about it being heavy I know these hinges will support that wieght def.. on the fold over I gotta put the inside of the hinge facing out so I dont have any probs with it hitting

Yea,just noticed this one.If you use the rear bolts, the trunk will not flip.I've had mine done for like 4 or 5 months and I dont have no leaks.

tryed it today, drilled 4 holes in trunk lid and 4 in latch.. tryed it 3-4 different ways it fell and hanged each time like alittle ***** somewhere there has to be a way to lock it!?? suggestions different type of latch or what I dont want to have to put a board or some **** on it every time I pop the trunk

it might be in distributing the weight, trying weighing it down somehow, or am i dead wrong?

when i did this mod i ran in to the same problem with latching it so what i did was use a screw stud from a hardware store and put a wing nut on it and then screwed it in the back hole of the trunk it works real good! Thats how i fixed it i dont use this mod that much!

me and my friend are gonna go at it again today after we install his racing seats in his camry, Im debating what todo here still I want this to work without a can/board or something holding it up and the gay thing is when we took the lid off and where carrying it the 1-2 inches of paint came off the side straight to the metal.. iv already ahd this lid repaintd 4 TIMES since the accident (new lid to btw) but its never a good paint job its always peeling straight to the damn metal no primer @ all

yea tis getting pretty gay, ill clean the inside and put it all back to stock before i bring it in to be repainted so they wont hassle me, hyundai has covered it once and my body shop 2 times so i got 2 places to go and niether knows the other has done it rofl..

ya bro Im thinking about buying that auto loc thing.. if it works well damnit im gonna have to put like a spring or something on the trunk and its gonna get real screwy

if your hacing problems with the truck folding down when opened. has anyone thought of just attaching a spring to the trunk and the bars holding the trunk up. so when you open the trunk the springs pull the lid up so it sits flat. thats what i plan on doing if i ever get around to doing my trunk.

o yea forgot to say, if you use a srping i think you have to make a stop thing. (like a bump the the bar holding the lid) so the lid sits where you want it to sit when the pring pulls it. but i dont know. just been toying with the ideaof the spring.
