My dad did 2 Jeeps with MAACO cost about 5-600 each and the paint has been perfect for 5 years now and one of the jeeps was an 86 the other an 00. So I like MAACO, atleast the on in Manchester, NH. Maybe the one in evans area sucks.

lmoa^^

he has had about 5 paint/re-paint jobs done at maaco. they cant get it done right, and then the paint peels right off when handwashing. i can do better in my friends garage than maaco.

and hyundai paint DOES!!!!!! suck:D scratches tooo easy, not enough color and clear layers when sprayed at the factory. and it even chips when you hit a bug on the freeway:(

Hell yea it does! I got 13k on my car and there is so many spider webs in the paint I just want to scream.Everytime I wash my car I notice a new chip either on the hood or on the bumper.I've used a claybar on my car many times. It looks good for a little while and then the scratches are back...worse than ever. It's a full time job keeping the car looking good

maaco sucks, they do ****ty work there paint peels, they overspray like it was a blind retard painting the car and there clear coat sucks.

I know someone who got his 93 mustang painted by maaco and they sprayed one of the rims and tires with overspray and the paint started to peel in about a year. If you dont wanna let the warrenty handle this and you wanna get a paintjob, get it done right and cough up the big buck$.

yea the hyundai paint is ghey, my car looks like it been through a WAR ive had it for a year. its looks so bad i dont even wash it or anything anymore...no reason to, the dirt covers scratches beter than wax. :( my engine and interior are immaculate, outside the car looks like a beater

yeah. do a search for "maaco" by me. youll see why i hate them so much. 7 times its been back to them in about 1.5 years now, and i have to go back (luckily to another location) as soon as i get a day to wash the car and mark all the spots its messed up. paint peels, dirt in the paint, ridges (where you can see where it goes down some where they sanded and painted without evening it out), parts where it looks like primer, where it either didnt get buffed or cleared...im thinking cleared since its on the bottom of the spoiler,

**** like that. do a search from me, youll see more detail.

and the hyundai paint isnt that bad. IIRC, hyundai actually owns the mercedes-benz paint process...look into that one. i would much rather have my OEM paint and just spend $ to get it buffed periodically than to ever go to maaco again. ever

The first 7x was it the same shop? Seems to be what you are saying, maybe it was just a bad shop. Hell, I've had ****ty Dunkin' Donuts coffee, but only at one location. I may be giving them too much credit but eh, all well. If and when I get paint done, it'll definetely be with a bodykit, one shot and done no color matching and the such.

well...do this. call a few paint shops, and not maaco, and ask them how much it would cost to prep/paint your car base coat/clear coat. i garuntee theyll all say 3000$ or more. call maaco, their top of the line paint job...the "signature service" i believe it is called runs 900$. now tell me. do you think theyre going to do a good job for 900$ that most places charge 4.5x as much? no way in hell. i have overspray everywhere, the paint falls off...not like, oh a rock hit it, it chipped away...they told me wait 6 weeks before taking it to a power wash car wash. i waited 7 weeks. spraying it down, about 24" from the tip of the wand to the car, the paint fell off. it fell off. it fell the **** off. (ron white fans will get that one)

seriously. if your car has light scratches and stuff, take it to a detailing shop, have them do a nice buff/polish. if that doesnt fix it, see if you can find a good shop to do some touch up

Woke up yesterday after a hard weekend of detailing to find grass, dirt and tiny rocks on my car. Apparently the landscaping company's inept aliens felt the need to mow the mulch next to my car, arghhh!!!
After a wash there are approx. 50 pits in the paint on the passenger side, each one the size of a grain of sand. Its not visible a few feet away from the car but up close I can every single one of the little f@!%s
Now I'm in the market for a car cover....
My exterior damage from driving is mostly limited to pitted winshield and headlight glass however so in a sense, I'm lucky.
