Its better looking then the full bra, how does it stay on?

that would look nice with some eyeliners painted to match the reflector

it's more of a deflector than a reflector:)

LOL :abovelol: My bad, I noticed that after I click on submit reply. I already sent a PM to change the title to "deflector".

It stays on with 4 pressure clips(can't find better name). You screw each clip so it applies pressure on your hood. There are 4 plastic transparent stickers that you put on the hood to protect it against the 4 clips...

Yep, had one myself when I got the car. Don't drive through any touchless car washes that use the high powered blowers to dry it off!! Mine lifted a little, snapped in three places, and then flew off the car to each different side of the parking lot outside the wash. I was going to take it off that day anyway because my wife didn't like it, but it was flimsy enough to come off on it's own.

looks nice, but did you back into the car behind you before you took these pics? looks like awfully close parking.

LOL, yeah I park very close to my minivan to clear space for the sidewalk.

what does it do? also, what do those window deflectors do? i live in sunny so cal. not many strong winds or hurricanes or anything but i like to drive with my windows rolled down a lot (city). what are their advantages?

BTW, what tint level did you get and how many inches from the top of the windshield did you go?

Hood deflector protects your hood from scratches caused by rocks, debris, etc... especially when you are in the highway with a big truck in front of you. Window deflectors let you roll your windows a bit down when it's raining... any1 correct me if I'm wrong. I think there's another purpose for them but I can't remember now.

I used 20% tint in all 4 side windows. I went 5.25" from the top center of the windshield which is about 7" from the farthest side of the windshield. I still have to do the back window, will be using 15%.

I've got one on my '04 and, while I don't care either way how it looks, it sure does a good job after 35k nearly all highway miles of keeping (especially the leading edge of) my hood from looking like hamburger. Glad to see another '04-'05 with it; I'd never seen another one yet. :D

I like it, and it's WAY better than a bra. Do they have those for '01s?

Vampyrate

yeah, they have those for every year, its an option that you can get when you buy the car from the dealer

They make a clear bra coating...

I saw something somewhere about a clear vinyl bra for the front... can't fins it anywhere though.

Looks good mate.
Hope it keeps those rocks off!

Personally I couldn't have one though, I'm all for clean lines & I reckon with the way I drive it'd fly off my car, or I'd be scared of it doing so. :D

Props for the really nice pictures.

would it be possible to get a clear one and then paint it on the back side to match the car so it is not as noticeable and yet still does its job?

I like how it lies low to the car and not straight up like the older ones. I think it shows off the profile of the car better that way. If you do alot highway driving it's a good investment to save your hood and in some cases your windshield from the flying stones.

$30-$60 dollars is what you will pay. I have one on my 01 and swear by it because I travel highway a lot. It also cuts down on hood vibration at highway speeds. Good to see they continued to make it on the 04-05's. Nice pictures you posted.

I got a half LaBra for my Wifes 05. Just on the hood. I liked it a lot better then the whole LaBra. I got it off Ebay for about 30 shipped. She does a lot of highway driving so I figured it would help.

I think its cool. My GF is the one with the elantra. I'll show her your picts.

Also, thanks for the info on the tint. I was going to get her tint (Formula One Ultimate Series) and it comes in 38% 28% and 18%. I suppose 28 should be okay.
