It makes the site easier to read at work, especially if you live in puritanical areas of the country. Believe you me, you'd have trouble offending me with speech, but this is a forum with a very wide (American) user base. Americans, on the whole, are silly, sometimes offended and outraged, over words like cunnybungler, jizzotrophic mantasm, and queefinator.

But more importantly, there have been posts that are almost completely incoherent, because they're 60% curse words, 25% articles and adjectives, and 15% actual content.

Find a better way to describe what you're talking about than ****in piece of ****in ****. It's not that difficult.

It's been discussed - already. The move was made, for one, to prevent any more people from getting in trouble at work (yes, there has been occurrences of people getting introuble because of swear words on EXD on their screens). Also, it causes things to mature up a level, and make this less of a 'I'm cool because I swear' site.

If you also read the other thread, you will notice that intentional modification of words to side-step the filters, will not be tolerated, so please don't try.

Additionally, I will remind everyone of the previous statement by our Administrator that "In Before the Lock" posts make him unhappy, and ban-trigger-happy.

If you cannot enjoy EXD without gratuitous swearing, you are welcome to not post.
