Will this turbo fit this kspec manifold?
kspec (http://www.kspec.com/list.php?ac_id=85&ai_id=612)
ssautochrome t3/t4 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/T4-T3-Turbo-Mitsubishi-Civic-Prelude-Integra_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33742QQitemZ803 2387648)
is it too powerful if i don't plan on upgrading pistons/rods?
any other turbos for around 300 dollars that i should be aware of?
thanks

well since kspec's manifold is for a T3 turbo i'm going to say just a T3 will work. and as for finding a brand new turbo for 300 dollars i think you'll be hardpressed to do that. if you instead meant a MANIFOLD then that is doable. T3/T4 hybrid wouldn't be that powerful if you kept the boost down but i would think you'd have quite bit a lag with that turbo tho i don't know it very well

well i guess that the ssautochrome turbo that i linked is remanufactured then eh?

that'd be my guess... look around on google. you can't find one for that cheap. i mean i found a brand new T3 super 60 for like 600. besides... for something like a turbo... i'm sorry but i wouldn't trust it. i'd rather order brand new on something like that!

if you search here or on honda-tech for ssautochrome turbo, I beleive you'll discover that you'll be wasting your money.
definetely not a place to be a cheapskate.

Anything with T3 flange will work such as T3 series and GT ball bearing turbos.
Only thing with manifold type like that, you can not use an external wastegate.
Your best bet is to go with small turbo such as T3 with an internal wastegate(a.k.a actuator).
Only problem with T3 internal wastegate is you can only use about 12psi of boost max, and over 14 psi they tend to break. It will also not hold boost overally, either. You can still weld an external wastegate flange to that manfold, but they will break eventually after certain period of time.
Personally, I would pay few more $$ for external wastegate flange and have a solid boost till the end.
I don't know how much hp you are looking to get, but those kind of manifold is suitable for less than 240whp.

Kdmguy... can you find me a cast iron t3 manifold from korea that can support an external waste gate? i don't want a stainless steal manifold because i want the manifold to last the life of the car.
let me know. thanks

cast iron (http://www.kspec.com/list.php?ac_id=85&ai_id=612)
custom manifolds (http://hyundaiperformance.com/forums/topic.php?t=70601)
slow 2K2GT

Wow that custom manifold from HP is very well done and at an affordable price. He says he will guarantee his work I would go with that instead of a log manifold.

Cast iron manifolds are probably the most durable, but they also weigh the most. My question to Kspec would be if they could weld on in place of the T3 flange a T25 flange and also an external waste gate attachment. I've got a T25 out of an SR20 sitting here, that, since I can't sell it, I guess I'll have to use it. But it has no wastegate, and I want reliable boost anyway, an external WG is the only way to go.
How cost effective is a cast iron manifold over stainless steel? I see Kspec sells CI for $349, but the guy on HP has SS for $250. Wouldn't CI be cheaper, or is it harder to weld?
Go to a junkyard, find anything made by Ford in the 80's. Pop the hood. If it has a turbo, it will work on your car.
Check for cracks. If the owner wants more than $100, walk away.
Get on Ebay, buy a rebuild kit, or have someone rebuild it for you.
If you want a vehicle list, post up.

good luck welding cast iron to where it wont crack on a turbo manifold.
you'd have to either machine new bolt holes in the flange or make some type of adaptor. (if you didnt want ot to crack)
