Hey guys, ive been reading this forum for a while now and it has helped me with some mods i have done to my car.. i just have a couple questions and may sound dumb.... First one is is any elantra an xd or an avante xd? and my second question can i put a new shift nob on an automatic???

1st. Yes All Elantras are teh non-korean badging for teh Avante XD

Yes, your car is an Elantra XD, or an Avante XD (Korea). And yep, you can put just about any aftermarket Automatic shift knob on your car, whether it be from AutoZone, Advanced Auto Parts, Pep Boys, NOPI.com, etc. They'll work.

i love them. the only mod that im not too happy with is actually a repair (painted bumper, which is cracking again... less than 9months after getting car).

All Elantras/Avantes *since the 2001 model year* are XDs.

...& FYI we also refer to the 04-06 models as XD2's.

I had a champ color, but i traded it in.... the color wasnt for me...
