Interesting Computer Problem

As most of you know, I run various anti-malware progs and ran into this interesting problem. Whenever I run adaware, the computer restarts... it doesnt do that for other malware scanners, just that one. Any ideas on the fix?

Reinstall, clean the registry out. what program is it?

its adaware, you know the antispyware/malware detection program...
i found something called spywareterminator and its finding more than the windows spybot and search & destroy could possibly ever find. not to mention regscrubxp

Interesting, I've never had a problem with adaware. Good luck though.

i think its a new trojan going around that detects ad-ware and stops the computer once it locates the file, while flying under other progs' radars. oh well, i'll give this spyterminator a shot, it was among the number one choices among newer free liscenced programs on www.download.com

okay, first "quick" scan lasted 20mins and found 23 files... im now running a full scan and have it scheduled to run everynight at 1:00am at a full system setting.
