Hell ya, come on over to the Dodge family. Got one outside the garage, except it's not mine, but who's counting anyway. I think my 3 cars are enough.
Dodge's are great, as work or play, and that motor just plain kick's ***. Now picture a Dodge Dakota Quad Cab with that same motor. That's what my mom traded in for her '04 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab. She had a limited edition Dodge Motorsports Dakota, Red, w/ black wheels, and raised yellow lettering on the tires. The truck would burn the tires just mashing the pedal from a standing start and chirp them when shifting into second.
Awesome vehicle, awesome motor...
OH YEAH!!!!!!!!! TRAITOR!!!!

I like my brother's Ram. He's got an '05 2500 regular cab with a Cummins diesel. Thats a bad *** truck.
His payments are over double my payments though.

enjoy the summer fuel spikes ;)

Note: Elantra is only second to the Prius in its range, and Note to Note: The Prius's EPA estimates are said to be off by a lot while I seem to be fine with getting 40mpg in my 05 automatic Elantra ;)

dude, i hear/see those all over campus here, and they actually are starting to piss me off, thats why i really like the sound of my exhaust. it sounds a lot meaner than some of the trucks on campus here with the v6 in em

lol, just by adding an SRI to your elantra, you will spin tires... i noticed that as soon as i did that... now that i have a CAI i havet to be careful not to unintentionally

damn, thread jackin again...lol...as long as you stay out of the vtec range (usually past 4200) its fine, but its all relative to how you drive, i use the cruise on the highway cause i can...

haha "cruise" my idea of cruising is WOT on 81 going bumper to bumper with some riced out CRX
but yeah.... GO DODGE! My dad had a stratus and he loved it, and it was really easy to work on. ive done a few things with the 1500, 2500, and 3500 rams, and fell in love with them. sure the dakota is cool and all, i just cant see myself in anything less than a 1500 quad cab (gotta bring my homies too lol)

I couldnt even beat an Accord or a 4 door Grand Am in my Elantra. Both drivers were girls too.

Until the price of gas jumps back to $3.00 a gallon, as they're predicting it will this summer.

In my own experience, dodge 318/360's are good at one thing. Eating gas. I remember racing my GMC at IRP. A guy had a 4x4 Dakota 360, with headers, catback and PCM tuning. I had my 93 Full size ext cab 4.3 V6, 5 spd and 3.08 rearend (highway gears=1900 rpms at 70mph!) and a set o fheavy 17" Byds wheels. I ran a 17.01 @ 77mph, he ran a 16.94 at 82mph. hE HAD TOLD ME WHILE WE WERE WAITING that he was averaging 14mpg highway. I was (at that time) averaging 23mpg highway, ans 20 city. Needless to say, I've never been impressed.

Who's "they" and why are they predicting that?? I'm not impressed. And that will definately not help my case I'm making to my wife for a second car.

"They" was Crains Chicago Business Report, and also Kiplinger Financial Report... many other sources are saying the same thing.
Why: Summer driving puts an increased demand on gas (which drives prices higher) as well as summer 'forumla' gas (cleaner - burning, as required by EPA in metro areas during summer months) costing more. The people that study the ebb and flow of the economey all say the signs are pointing to gas prices creeping up again... it's already been happening if you've been keeping an eye on the price at the pump over the last few months.

Gas already broke the three dollar range without people changing their habits, giving Exxon/Mobil record profits -- why should they sell it for less if people are buying for more? Gas prices will continue to soar. Which means elections might get interesting (http://www.pollkatz.homestead.com/files/NEWBUSHINDEX_28670_image001.gif).

going slightly more off topic. We're on a weekly cycle here. It goes cheap on sunday and then goes up for the rest of the week. The last two weeks have stayed steady during the week and then dropped on sunday still, so I've been fairly excited recently.
Ah well, can't last forever.

I can't imagine paying for the gas that hog's gonna take. 14mpg+55miles a day= homeless. That's like 10 gallons a week more! $21.00x52 weeks that's almost $1100 just in gas. Plus the tranny that's gonna drop. Wow. . . . . . .
