Ok, I'm not going to be on all weekend. Why you ask...I'm going with the youth group from the church to a weekend retreat. Specifically the grade 9 guys. I am dreading signing on for this, I'm afraid of what they might do to me in my sleep...I can only remember what horrible things we did to other kids when we were that age. Anyway, have a good weekend, everybody. I'll 'see' you when I get back.
Cheers

Hey, knock yourself out :)
Good thing you told us or I would've been worried :)

hahaha, whatever. I'm sticking with my quota of useless posts. And I've been told by my wife that it's Bon weekend, tout le monde, not how I did it. And also, that French Canadians use some other term for weekend (where in France, all the French people say weekend...I've heard them.)
Anyway, I made it back alive. The grade 9 guys turned their cabin into a wrestling ring, with all the mattresses in one room on the floor like a big ring. It was sweet...I am in much pain, but I inflicted 10 times the pain I feel on other guys. It was like a fight club, there are bruises, bloody noses, cracked ribs and what not. It was sweet. Glad to be back at my own place though. I'm going to go and eat now that I've checked all 760 messages.

Nice! I remember one of my first trips with my Youth Group. We did something similar but it wasn't exactly like a fight club, lol. It was a pretty serious Kung Fu-style pillow fight though. Whoever knocks the opponent down first wins. There was a 1 on 1 pillow fight of the youth pastor who was 6'7" and 220+ pounds vs a 7th grader that went on for over 1/2 an hour. That 7th grader was tough!

Yeah, one of the youth leaders is about that size, and a farmer/bricklayer. I wrestled him, and it was like trying to move a brick wall. I got him down once, but then he just threw me and reversed it all. I managed to be close enough to someone who was willing to tap in, so I wasn't out for good...luckily. It was great fun.
