what year civic short air intake is a direct fit to the egt03?

92-95 thats what i got ... you need to cut about 4-5 inches off the end to fit the filter on unless you relocated the battery

Do you think that this one would be easier to modify to fit the 04?

i really dont know i dont remenber seeing the engine bay of an 04 but if you show me a pic or link to one and i can tell you ... all i know is you got that air sensor in the way....found one..(editing).. looks like you need to install it like it was an 03 ( cutting it 4"-5" at the end ) and then find a way to put the sensor section in.... i really cant explain it well..... it will be like T/B, bent pipe, adapter, the air sensor section, adapter, straight pipe, filter.
