Yup... this or something like it has been discussed many times, for example... (http://www.elantraxd.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4621&highlight=popular+mechanics) ...this thread includes a link to dyno tests showing the losses caused by these scams :rolleyes:

I think about it this way... the reason we pay out for shiny, mandrel-bent SRI or CAI tubing (plus port and polish to TB, IM etc...) is to maximise unrestricted, smooth (laminar flow) air to the engine... anything that blocks or disrupts that air flow is going to cost you in power and response time.

this has been talked about.. That thing is trash, my neighbor got one is in XG300 and it did NOTHING. He get his money back.
