Josh from HyundaiAccessoryStore.com/Gary Rome Hyundai Checking it.

I've been trolling this board for some time now. I figured I'd resister and see if I can be of some help.

I don't drive a Hyundai but I have worked with them for over 2 years. I have modified just about every car I have ever owned. From custom turbo on my old '96 200SX se-r, to engine swaps in my '88 323 GT, Suspension and engine on the '97 civic, and numerous audio/video systems. I currently thinking of buying a Hyundai, but life is hectic right now, and that’s on hold. I’ve worked here at Gray Rome Hyundai for almost 2.5 years, about 2 of those years were in the parts department, I recently took the internet mangers position.

Don't worry I'm not going to plug my site non stop.

If time allows me I will be on as much as I can to help. If you need something don’t hesitate to e-mail me at Josh@garyromehyundai.com, I'll get back to you within 24 hours, usually within a few minutes if im in my office.

Excellent. You mentioned in another thread about discounts to members of certain boards. Perhaps we could come up with a list of items we would like to see discounts on. This would allow your dealership to buy these items in greater volume to get a lower price, perhaps? The list of things I'm thinking about includes items such as the 55511-2C000 19 mm Tibby sway bar & bushings, the metal Tibby pedals and foot rest, the 00271-84004 04 GT radio mounting kit, etc. We could probably come up with a list of the big hitters. If we target the right items (i.e., the ones that move the best), then deep discounts may be more feasible. Maybe do periodic group buys to reduce risk of ordering the parts without firm orders from us? I'm just thinking out loud here.

No, keep thinking out loud! This info is great! I love input! If anyone else has ideas, throw them out I will take a look at the all Again, im approching this slow, so give me some time. I need to get some other things tied up before I move on to other projects. I have 4 things I'm working on right now and I need to get at least 3 of them done, that along with all the other parts of my job that I do on a daily basis. 12 Hour days are killing me!

So do you have any info on the new "performance options" for the new Accent? I've heard that Hyundai will be offering things like a Cold Air Intake for example for the Accent. Is this true? And how does that program work, especially when considering warranty and the fact that CAI can lead to waterlocking the engine. (which is why I haven't bought one) Also will be this be extended to other models? Elantra? Tiburon? Or is this all "classified" information.
PS I've been up to Holyoke a bunch, perhaps I'll come by if you guys offer installing aftermarket stuff such as springs/struts.

Thank you for all the kind word. I came to this site to help, so questions are good :) From what I have read is that the new accent is going to have something like 200+ accessories, anything from performance to dress up to the usual accessories. Hyundai is in the process of redoing the way they sell and promote accessories. I am assuming that with the launch of the 2007 Accent 3dr this program will be launching as well. As for warranty, I'm sure they will carry the 5/60 warrany. As for hydrolocking because of a CAI, im not sure, maybe they will go the route of AEM and go with some type of bypass valve. I assume that this will extend in to all the models, the 2007 Santa Fe is suppose to have quite a few as well but I dont have anything in concrete yet. I post it up when I do.
On a side note, I had a CAI in my Civic for over 4 years with no problems. The car was droped 2.5 inches and I drive thru anything from snow and ice to some major puddles in the summer.

Thanks ;)

Everything that he wants, i want as well, but i also need the bushings, brackets, and endlinks (metal) for it. as for more thoughts, i know that a lot of people mod their grilles, lights (both front and rear), and small interior work with lighting (i know i do), so those could be added to the list (especially grilles and headlights).

I doubt grills would be affordable, but if they are I would be more likely to try a mod project on mine. I would like to have an original to put back when I sell the car or if I screw up the mod (I have no faith in my own abilities).

And Paki: I welcomed him in another thread before I saw this one. So there.

One other thing that seeing Paki posting here brings to mind: There are several "clusters" of members- I think a New England contingent, a NYC contingent, a Maryland contingent, and of course us here in Texas. Maybe we could arrange mini "group buys" where the goods for several people are shipped to one address to save on shipping costs, and then distributed at meets. The meets would become like Christmas with everyone getting new toys.

And finally: Do you know about Hyundais in the Hills? You may want to persuade your boss that it is of vital performance that he send a representative (you). (If you need HITH info, click the link at the end of my sig.)

Welcome to the site. Working at a dealer you already know how far Hyundai has come in the last 5-7 years, so making the decision to get a Hyundai shouldn't be too hard. Let us know what you come up with.

Admin note: There is no selling allowed until you've been a member for 30 days. If you wish to discuss anything concerning that, please PM me, I won't bite.

I'd like to see OEM pads, rotors, and drum shoes for sale.
