Im curious about something...but first I have an 05' Elantra GLS. If I understand this correctly, pretty much any other Hyundai wheels with the 4-lug pattern will fit; as long as it is the 4x4.5? 4x114.3??

What other stock 4-luggers will fit? The Tib wheels (02/03+)??? The Sonata Wheels???

Please fill me in if I have this info wrong and also what other wheels will fit...stock Hyundai that is...

Any Pictures Of these Combos??

Also, what about the offset of the other wheels??

Im not planning on lowering my car so clearances arent an issue...unless im missing somethin..

the 02-06 tib wheels will NOT fit, they are 5 lug. The 4 cly 01-04 sonata 10 spoke 16 inch wheels will also fit, the V6 01-04 sonata 16 inch 10 spoke wheels look the same as the 4cly wheels but they are 5 lug, it MUST be the wheels off the 4cly.

As for the 01-04 Sonata V6 being 5-lug, that's a common misconception. My uncle has an 04 V6 Sonata that is a 4 lug. Additionally, I've never seen ANY EF Sonata with 5-lug rims, nor have I ever seen any Sonata rims on sale on ebay with 5 lugs (before the new model).

Also, as long as I'm nit-picking, there was no 2002 Tiburon. :poke:

I have seen a 2004 V6 sonata with 5 lug wheels. I didnt believe it when I was told then I went to Hyundai and looked for myself.

I know for a fact my uncle's is 4-lug, we put my Elantra's 17" rims on his car to see what it would look like (although the tires are too small for the Sonata - the rims fit).

My rims (sonata) came off of a 2004 V6 Sonata. 16x6, 4x114.3.

Discount tire says that the 2004 Base, GLS, and LX are all 4x114.3.

It also says that all 2005 base, GLS and LX trims are 4x114.3.

EDIT: Also, how did you SEE them? All the Sonata wheels either have centercaps (or wheel covers over the steelies) that make it impossible to count the lugs?

Cool, you got pictures of them on the car? I would like to look into getting a used set from ebay and put them on my car with low profile tires.

I talked about this on the old XD..

Yes I took the center caps off and it was a 5 lug 10 spoke 16 inch sonata wheel.

It's one of these. I can't see them from work. I know the 2nd one should be. It was from IRP this past fall.

97-01 Tibs use the same wheel. Late 02(actually 03 MY)-up ALL use 5-lugs. So no, they WILL NOT FIT YOUR CAR.

I've been needing to updat my sig here.

i may be wrong, but it may be that ABS-equipped sonatas had the 5-lug, and on-ABS had the 4-lug.

Just talked to a dealer contact. There was a 10-spoke, 5-lug made for the previous Sonata, but only on the LX trim level during the last 4 months of the 2005 MY production. They list for $289 a pop if you were wondering. It was because they stopped making parts in order for the retooling for the new NF design, which was to be 5-lug.

Here's a picsheet of the 4 lug wheels:

All Sonata's from 99-05 are 4 lug. 06 They went to 5. Not to say someone didn't do some custom work and change it to 5.

16" Sonata wheels are pretty nice on our car. I just like the OEM look. If I could just find some crooked H center caps that would look clean on my wheels.

Well I hope that no one tries to buy 05 lx parts, beacuse ALL my catalogs point to 4lug. I'll stand up and look like an idiot, I was wrong, sorry! I was going by parts catalogs not other info. :D

Bell & Howell, Microcat, even my crash books say the same thing. I even called Hyundai USA and they didnt know what the hell I was talking about. My old parts training is wearing off...lol... ;)

There is also the thick six spoke 15" Hyundai Elantra wheels that aren't advertised anywhere. I think we've seen them on some of the Korean models (in fact, I think Mr. Dan might have them or have had them).

Part # 08400-2D400 ... $157 each.

EDIT - Like this:

Maybe they are only available in canada but here are my oem wheels. I bought them used but I have seen a number of VE/GLS with these wheels in my city alone.

They are 15x6.5 45offset

That other member with OEM Sonata rims would be me. I have not logged on in a while. I have been shopping for a family vehicle and that has eaten up a lot of spare time, plus I have had a horrible cold the last several days...

These are the 5 spoke 99-01 Sonata alloys. I believe in this photo I also have the wider and slightly lower profile 205 55 15 Yokohamas on there.

I picked up a set of 4 on ebay that were in really good shape, except for the center caps, which I purchased a new set from my local dealer. There is also some 7 spoke ones you will also see on Ebay for the same model year Sonata, but most often, they are being sold as singles rather than a set of 4 (I got lucky).

I actually had a choice between a set of 7 spoke and the 5 spoke, but the 5 spoke were cheaper and in much better shape. The 7 spoke seller actually withdrew his ad while I was trying to decide, so that also made the decision easier. Currently the only 4 lug set I see on ebay is the 16" that Bob has on his car.

These were the ones I really wanted and are actually for the XD/XD2, but my dealer said he could not get them. The price would have been ridiculous anyway. I believe these may be KDM only.
