Anyone have any suggestions for mufflers? Im looking for a good performance one, that gives off a nice growl, and is reasonably cheap... any help's appreciated!

magnaflow gets good reviews and I think dynomax does too.

magnaflow is the best in my opinion. I own one, and they aren't the cheapest, but you'll never have to buy another. The cheaper ones tend to fall apart after a while. The sound is great too.

A lot of members are going with the magnaflow - and they seem to like them, so that can not be a bad choice.

A couple of us have Supertrapp's. They sound great too, plus they are one of the few mufflers that allow you to tune them depending on your vehicles performance. The one I bought ran me just over a $100.

I like the supertrap as well. Just didn't find one in time to do my exhaust.

my friend use to have a supertrap on his merkur....

but yeah magnaflows look a lot better than the supertrap but both are good mufflers.

i have a cheapo ebay muffler. straight through with DTM tips. i have not heard many elantra with mufflers but everyone i have heard sounds like a bumble bee or a fart can. mine is a low growl. and mine looks pretty good. if it goes bad i'll drop another 50$ and get a new one.

Ah, I was looking at the magnaflow's, but I kinda want something more like the usual "can" shape, instead of the dual ends and such, but I dunno. I might go with a dual end, since my car seriously stands out as one of kind in this town, which is mostly neon's and civic's. Thanks for the input though!

OPZ, I can't tell you how man compliments I have gotten on my muffler. But, if tou want the traditional "can" type muffler, Magnaflow does make quite a few in that type.
