Hey Y'all,

Ever since I got my aftermarket wheels i've had issues with the nuts they gave me, they are those 'tuner anti theft crap' ones. Anyway, i got a flat and changed it to the standard spare. My wheel nearly fell off today because the nuts threaded my wheel bolts, they seem to be too big for the bolts. After I stopped to check the wheel I could take off 3 out of 4 nuts off with my hands!!! Is this right or am I just crazy and making this up? Are there certain sized wheel nuts and stuff or is it fairly universal? I intend to go back to the mob that did my wheels cos they installed and supplied the nuts.

Thanks everyone. Jay.

Are you sure you tightened them sufficiently?

Go to the site: http://www.pdm-racing.com/products/mcgard.htm . I bought the McGuard lug kit (#65457) for about $82. It comes with spline drive lugnuts plus one anti-theft for each wheel. The sockets for them come in the kit, plus an info card to order replacement parts. All in a handy carrying case that you can put in your glove box. The lugs are 12mm x 1.5 pitch and are the correct size to tighten the wheels properly. They even have a warranty against rusting. The price might be steep for some, but when it comes to wheels I don't do shortcuts. Safety is #1. Heres a pic:

They fit perfectly in the lug holes, ain't nobody taking these rims.
