Guess what I learned today?

That theres a freaking cup holder in the back seat LOL. I was vacuuming the car when I pushed up on this plastic panel on the seat cushion. Lo and Behold, and cup holder came out. WTF. Ive had the car for over 6 months and I just found out. LOL

When I frist bought the car, I read about that cupholder, I was thinking "wow thats pretty sweet!" so I went to check the car, I spent over 20 minutes looking and couldn't find ****. I was like WTF, where is my cupholder?!! Then I read few days later that only the sedans have the cupholders and the hatches get the good looks! :P

Yea, I have cupholder envy.

This was talked about on the old XD.. My 01 gls didnt have them.. Then when I bought my 03 gt I had them.. I didnt even care cuz I very rarely have ppl in my back seat and when I do they are not allowed to eat or drink in my car.

i just use mine to hold bottles of stuff for long road trips... other than that, i have yet to have people in the back seat

When i was looking at my car on the lot, the salesman (with a big grin) opened the back door and asked me to find the cupholders...
I looked around and didn't find them.
He showed me.
I was amazed.
The people at Hyundai are genius.
He told me that he knew of at least half a dozen people that had their Elantras for 3-5 years and never knew they were there.
I called my sister, (who has either an '04 or '05) and asked her if she knew that she had rear cupholders... she says "i do?, hold on" comes back a little while later... "Holy $#!t, I've got rear cup holders!!!!!!!!!!"

I think the hatchbacks with the fold-down seats do not have the cupholder option, if I remember correctly - it's been long time since this came up.

He showed me.
I was amazed.I had the oppositie situation. In my case, I found the little loop under the seat on the hatchback that allows you to flip up the seat cushions before folding down the seat backs. The salesmand flatly stated that the seat cushions do *not* flip up. He said he had gone to familiarization training and knew everything about the car. I pulled on the loop and the seat cushion popped up.

My 01 has them. I found them when we bought the car (was just a kid then). The salesman was like, holy hell, I did not know that was there!

Man it took me forever to find them.I pulled the seat out of a 04 xd2 at work to replace the fuel pump and saw it.I felt like a cornhole.I never use mine though,but it's the feeling of having cupholders.The last 5 cars i've had did not have any cupholders.I don't know how I survived

If by GK engine, you mean the 2.7L Delta - you're better off without it.
