No one eats in the back seat but I will let certain people eat in the front seat, it also depends what they are eating.

haha I know its weird but my 2 buddys and my father are also the ones that I will allow to eat in my front seat.. No one can do ANYTHING but sit in my back seats, lol.

I'm one of those "enjoy every moment for the best it can be" people. So I allow pretty much anything in my car. I am a smoker, so any of my friends that smoke are allowed to as well. The only things I don't allow are pot (becoming increasingly popular to do in the car nowadays), and any kind of open alcohol.

Yes sir.. Well a open window always helps, haha. Then I have this spray thats a odor eater, I spray it every day in my car and it takes out any odors.

But then again I have leather so odors dont stay in the car. Odors absorb in fabric.

Like headliners and carpet?? haha, I'm not meaning to sound like I'm trying to tell you what to do, heck it's your car you do what you want. You just always seem to try and keep everything factory condition on your car, and do such a great job of it. I was a little surprised to hear that you let people smoke in there.

Thanks man.... I mean I dont let ppl smoke in it everyday, and when I do its only a few people I will let. I think since I had the car only 2 people have smoked in it a few times.

if i dont like someone ive been known to lock the windows before they get in and tell them i have a wiring problem and they cant smoke in the car...lol..but my window shall always roll freely :D

I'm taking this question quite personally, and considering myself a person...
that being said, I allow 'people' to eat, drink and smoke in my car.

When food or smoke is involved, the HVAC has to be on at least at the level 2 setting with outside air coming in, and window/s have to be down.
Props to Hyundai for the near-airtight ashtray, that thing is great, but I use a separate one most of the time anyhow.
This one time, a mate of mine burned the seat cover by lighting a rolled ciggie and the tobaccy fell out. :mad:

PS: My car doesn't smell like smoke unless I'm smoking + for about 10 minutes afterwards.

As for the car not smelling like a bar or a bowling alley...that's what febreze is for! For the windows...Windex!!!!! No open alcohol containers and no illegal drugs allowed in my car (I am bonded.)

i would like for everyone to not eat in my car ... but it's pretty hard to drive and try to stop the people on the back seat from eating, what gets to me worst is when people put their bags (or ANY item) on the hood / roof / trunk of my car (i'd be very mad if it got scrached), i think the worst smell comes from the moisture on / under the carpets when you go in and out of your car when it rains ...

Granted I did the same thing when I was 18-19, but nowadays I just make sure the car is clean before I leave it.

I've got 2 daughters, theres no way in hell I'm letting them eat in the back. Do I eat in the car? Sure if its candy but not like mcdonalds or anything. But I do smoke in the car but only if I'm with my wife and without the kids, can't be smoking with them in the car.

Would/Do I let other people? Oh hell no, I cant trust my friends NOT to make a mess or put burn holes in seats.

Hell yea I smoke in my car and so does the wife but only with the windows open. People b!tch all the time during the summer, it gets soooo hot but I tell that if they wanna smoke, the windows must be down. Plus, I always make sure to air the car out well before it's locked and none of the ashtrays are EVER used, that's where most of the stink comes from. As far as food goes, we have kids and on road trips, sometimes you don't have much of a choice but it is done very carefully, drinks MUST HAVE LIDS! Most of the time we're able to keep the food uneaten until we get home.

yeah. Well, eating and drinking are easy to allow...it's just more fun when someone doesn't really care about that. It definately can be cleaned up. Smoking though, you can't even look at my car from a distance if you have a cigarette in your mouth!

Im my Elantra im tight, most of my mates are in the 16-19 bracket and dont really know how to look after a car so my rules are...

NO smoking & use of ashtrays, NO eating, NO Drinking (unless its water), and hot food that has been bought goes in the trunk under the luggage net (I hate food smells) and NO Alcohol or Illegal drugs (lol not really a problem there)

Call me tight, but if you dont like it there is always the bus.

Definitely No smoking. I do allow eating and drinking since most of the time I am the one doing it. Especially with an hour lunch break at work sometimes I like going outside to my car and just eat my lunch in there and relax.

I've been realistic about this subject since the first day I got my car... people can eat and drink whatever they want in my car (as long as its legal). Its inconvenient to stop to eat sometimes so why not just eat in the car. If something gets spilled then it gets cleaned up. I might have a different opinion if I had a white interior but I don't.

I usually let people drink (any kind of drink including alcohol) in my car but not eat in it. I dont even like to eat in it because I dont like cleaning up crumbs.

Cigarettes are a no but I do allow smoking weed in the car. Febreze gets rid of that smell.
