Rear window Spoiler

Ok people,
Right now I am just guaging the interest in this. I have a company here that will manufacture these for us. Depending on how many people and what flavor (GLS/GT) we get, these will be around $100 shipped. Here is a picture.

I've seen them on a couple of mustangs around here, it sticks out horizontally, and I think it looks great

I don't remember where the LED lights are for the GT hatch, but if it doesn't cover that up I'm in for 1.

They most likely attatch using automotive grade two sided tape. That's usually how roof spoilers attatch.

That probably will cover the 3rd brake light on the hatch.

01 GLS Me likey! Painted body color would look best. There is something similar made by the Ventvisor people but its tinted plastic and sticks out a lot farther.

I'd be more concerned that the rear window squirter would be blocked. Awhile ago there were some of these(for the hatch) for sale but they were close outs, once again a day late to find out. Does any one know of anyone who had one ?

You actually use the rear squirter? I hardly even use the rear wiper, it's really only usefull to me when I'm stopped and the water starts to build up. Once the car is moving the wind takes care of keeping the window clear.

Shark Racing had these a LONG time ago. This particular type looks at lot better though.

I use mine constantly! I hate driving other cars now that don't have rear windshield wipers.

Ok,
Here's the update...I will be getting mine made first. The end of this week they will fit my car with the mold. About 1 week after that I go back for the end product. If all goes well, I will get a count from here and the other site for the GLS. After that we will have the GT one made. So, by mid August for the GLS and end of August for the GT. I have a GLS, so of course that will be first. I will keep you posted with pics in the next couple weeks....

August is vacation month in Germany. EVERYONE is on vacation in Germany, so we just need to relax & wait till September when things get back to normal over there. I have been there (Germany) It is a wonderful place to visit, you have to get use to the slower life style, example, it takes approx 9 minutes to pour a beer. It is worth the wait, but it does take planning to time your next refill

i called G.T. Styling http://www.gtstyling.com/index.cfm back in march or april and they told me that they were planning to have a solarwing for elantras made by june-july. from what i can tell it still doesn't exist. not that it's as good as the one that was proposed here but that was another possibility at the time. here's what it looks like
