I have the Garmin i3 which is very similar.
It works great and I have no complaints. I prefer Garmin to Tom Tom because the maps are better and updates are available. Better support from Garmin also.
Try a Google search for Tom Tom reviews.

I've got a Garmin IQue. Doubles as a GPS and Palm Pilot. The screen isn't bright enough during the day, but I use it mostly at night.
I like it, and support has been quick when I email them.

We use the Garmin 7200 (http://www.garmin.com/products/sp7200/) at work. They work real well, but the mounting on them looks like crap and the screen is always flopping down on them. The interface is nice and the directions are pretty good. Every once in a while, it will show the address about 1 block off.
A friend of mine has the Garmin Quest (http://www.garmin.com/products/quest/) and fits much better into a car and is portable.
