^ive been there, im getting the silent treatment right now because i didnt go to my classes (not feeling well) and it overall wasnt a good day. so i go out to work on my car a little bit (you know interior stuff) and i ended up pissing off Gena, so i turned off the cell phone, unplugged the regular phone and logged out from AIM just incase she tries to call. if she wanted to talk, she shoulda thought about getting pissed at me for having a bad day. I guess I'm a little car crazy, too. I was filling up the car the other day and couldn't stop leaning around the gas pump. There was a nice blue G35 coupe with 19's. I got back in the car and the wife was like...."get a good enough look? I told her, "nope". As for other cars, 3/31-4/2 is the StPete Honda Grand Prix. I got a 3 day reserved upper level seating passes with a one day paddock pass. Pops and my son are going with. Damn it's going to be awesome. My son already points out cars on the road and starts naming them. He can't get enough of NFSU2, either. He wants to play it everyday! :rolleyes:

in Minnesota my House is a 3 bedroom 2 bath with 2 stall garage detached heated with a 50' by 112' lot bought for 105,000$, Housing prices difer from place to place My house out in Yucaipa Calif. would cost around 300,000$.
And yes I am a huge fan of cars but I do not even dream or think of cars I will in reality never own never want to own so I will stick to cars that I know I could have paid off with in 4 yrs. the most expensive car I would ever buy would be no more than $30 grand.

i am always looking around. i can't stop looking at cars or women. i love when i see a car that i don't entirely recognize so i can go and look it up later. i never told my g/f that i loved my car more than her but she always assumed it. well even i thought at the time i loved the car more than the girl, but i have to say now without the girl around i am having trouble enjoying my car. i still love them both, but i am having trouble motivating myself to do any work on the car. it sits out in my driveway right now, dirtier than i would ever like to see. the inside needs to be vacumed, i still have camping equipment in there from three weeks ago. on top of all of this at some point i have to take my front bumper off and fix it, because i bottomed out when i went camping. i dunno what to do. i guess i just need a new girl to get me motivated again.

I'm car crazy too, and my wife accepts it unwillingly. Normal scenario, we'll be driving down the freeway and I'll go, "Did you see that -insert car name here- !?" and she'll be like "Where? I know it was a brand new Lotus, not real familiar with the different models. It was barely a 2-seater, some guy and his little girl out for a ride. What caught my eye was all the vents in the hood and sides, it was very nice. Looked like a killer bee, out for lunch.

that it does, car and driver did a head to hed on the new lotus and new porche carrerra and found that the lotus sucks ***. the only plus it had over the porche was the bigger price tag (status symbol) and faster straightaway acceleration. other than that, the car has no room for a briefcase, let alone another person. and the radio (if it comes with one, crazy options these days) sucks worse than dual components from best buy.

^ only1, im sorry but the elise sucks in handling compared to the carrera. sure its raced tuned to the most minute detail, but it sucks compared to cornering when put head to head with the carrera (the article i read had them go head to head in Atlanta on a somewhat rainy day, and again on a dry day). the porsche kicked its *** everywhere but the straightaways, but because of the cornering, the lotus lost in the end. so if i ever get $95k, im not buying the new lotus, im getting the 911 turbo with a few extras thrown in :)

dude re-read the article that was the new boxter coupe...not a carrera...and yes it has better lateral grip...something like 1.01 on the skid pad...more than any other production vehicle...that particular day it was raining and there were other factors involved...but on the skid pad...it beats it...

i sorry i forgot to specify that i am completely broke at the same time as being heart broken. not a bad combination. yeah i really don't wanna play with her right now because what i really should be doing is fixing the front bumper. i can fix the front bumper but then i really don't have the money to paint it right now. ive noticed that if i just leave the car dirty its kinda hard to notice the damage. so i guess right now im not really trying to flaunt her as a show car.

Where are you getting your info from man?? The Elise and the Carrera aren't even in the same league. If anything, they were probably comparing the Elise against the new Cayman, which is basically Porche's new Boxter.

A Lotus Elise, unlike some of Lotus' older cars, basically uses the same Toyota engine found in the Toyota Celica GTS, but tweaked for the Lotus Elise. That's part of the reason why the car only costs around $46K. You can probably get 2 Elise's for the price of 1 911 Turbo.

I guess I'm not as car crazy as some of you guys. I see nice cars all the time. And if I was truly envious of them and wanted to have the same experience, I could just go out and rent one for a day. You can't say the same about a female. You can rent a supercar for as little as $500/day, but it would take a lot more than that to get in the sack with someone like Jessica Alba or Jessica Simpson.

I was once in the Sunset Beach area (Orange County or better known as The OC), and this guy opened up the garage door to his HUGE, multi-story beachfront property. In his garage sat a Ferrari. I was in awe, but if I had to pick just one, I would take the house over the car any day. Imagine all the chicks you can invite over to a pad like that!

when you buy a ferarri that is considered an investment too. any super car you buy will only go up in value due to limited quantities and styles and what not. will it be worth more than a house. some day maybe.
