Ok, the first of many Quebec/Ontario meets and I expect a bunch of people because I'm driving a lot of hours for this.

We are going to meet at the Pizza Hut/Taco Bell Express in Ottawa on St.Laurent and Inudstrial (where Industrial turns to Innes). 2PM on May 27th. There will be a bunch to do, and we may even work on my car, thanks Felix. There are a few ideas floating around of exactly what we are going to do, but either way we can figure out some things... there are pleanty of beautiful drives around the area, lots of nice buildings and heritage things to see, and don't forget go-karting!

Anyway, please reply to this thread and let us know if you are coming. I will update the first post as the time draws near with names and if you are lucky, they may be in bold!

Ok, so the plan is...Tim Hortons/Wendy's on Belfast Road in Ottawa. Meet there at the time that you suggested before. I'll be late because of the wedding, so I'm not sure when I'll meet up with everyone. I'm looking into Thunderbird Go-Karting in Ottawa. They have an outdoor lit track, so it should be open up for us till the evening hours. Let me know what else everyone wants to do. Maybe we could cruise down bank street to where the other imports meet up (not sure if they will be there that evening, but it's a good place to meet).

There are a few other ideas that I'm thinking about, but just let me know what everyone wants to do. Felix, I'll have some tools with me, and my short shifter...so if you want to help me get it in and see how it's been messing up, that'd be great. Cool.

I don't know how long I will be able to hang around for, apparnetly one of the weddings that I'm in just declared that after the wedding on the 27th, they want to have their bachelor/bachelorette. Well, it is confirmed! I will be able to make it! :D I won't be able to go do some karting (due to the fact that I am working nights) but at least I'll get the chance to meet some of you guys. By the way, if there is too many people once we get there, I will probably be able to get a whole parking lot for all of us (no fooling around there since it is on RCMP premises and I would not want to get complaints and compromise my job). It is 30 seconds away from the meeting place, so, it is not out of the way!

No, I am not a member of the RCMP.... I am a secuity guard for them. A Commissionaire. I do mobile patrol at all the RCMP sites in the National Capital Region.

Rob: yeah, I am based at the National HQ at the corner of Vanier and Coventry. I've been working there for 5 and a half years.

Obi One: the parking would not be long enough to allow up to 100 KPH.

As for the horses, if you guys want to go and see them, I can bring you to the Police College... that is where they are.

Going to to do the second one once I've done this one and I'm happy with it. I'm also thinking about painting the calipers on the car. Thought about yellow, but I', not sure. My dad entered the hospital this morning due to his left side starting to paralyse and having spams ... they found a mass in his brain and he may also have a rare blood disease ... sorry guys couldnt make it, two things happened, got a week long license suspension and took a really bad ankle roll over while running on Friday night. I cant move my foot now or walk on it so driving was well out of the question. Wish I could have been there, but I need to worry about staying on the deployment list right now.

didnt go karting, everyone stuck around only from like 2 to 5 in the parking lot and left, only maral01 chilled with us a bit more to show us where the lcbo was, haha :)

then we were only left with us montreal people and decided to go play pool at dooly's, and i actually got carded HA! forgot it's 19 yo in ontario, thank god my birthday was a couple of weeks back!!

I had news of my dad and I saw him this week end, it's bad but even if it's him that's sick he still manage to confort us! lol

Follow up on this : my dad have a Waldenström’s Macroglobulinemia, a rare blood disease classified as a blood cancer ... this caused the mass in his brain and the specialists only knows one other case where the disease caused that ... I told him he sould've bought a loto ticket instead of getting that blood disease :P

So he'll be treated with radiotherapy and chemotherapy if the mass is not disappearing he then may need surgery ... wish him (and me) luck!

all the best for that stuff with your dad!!! Left the wedding an hour early, and it was still way too late to get in contact with people. It was supposed to be a short reception, then I realized that my mother in law was only saying that because she had a different invitation to my wife and I. They invited close people to a better reception later, so we had a sit down meal and didn't get out of there till 8pm. It was too long for my tastes, and we even left early so I can't imagine what others did who stayed.

At any rate, sorry that I didn't make it out, I was hugely depressed that I didn't see everyone. I had my short shifter for Felix to help me with, and I had the tib gauge harness for him as well...was looking forward to seeing everyone and then had my plans foiled.
