anyone know how much to torque the bolts for the headers(turbo manifold) :confused:

i did mine to like 80-90 ft/lbs

32-41 lb/ft is the spec.

80-90 is way to much if your talking about the nuts going on to the studs coming out of the head. :confused:
use right around 35 ft/lbs. your lucky you didnt rip the studs out with that much

Webtech recommends a MAX of 35 ft/lbs if i remember!!!!

80-90 and you are DESTROYING your head bolts

That's wierd that webtech would be different than my shop manual (which is where I got the spec I posted). It's not much different though...

Yeah it's pretty similar, though, my main concern was evan. lol. Opening the head to change the stripped bolts = fun fun fun

they were down tighter than that when i took them out. oh well, none of them are snapped and everything has been good for 3 months

no idea how tight mine are but no problems for 7 months :p
