Wow! Definitely the nicest '93 I've ever seen! Are you entering any shows this year, like Darknights?

Thanks man. :D
I entered in year 3 of DKN (I think that was 2002), but this year I'm not sure. I've got some trailer damage that needs to be fixed first, so if I can fix it up in time, then yah, I'll be there.

Cool, I think I've seen your car elsewhere, so I'm not as surprised or excited as some of the others, but it's definately a REALLY nice car.

Those are Neon taillights, right?

I was gonna say those look like the tails from a Neon. Who cares though they are on a Hyundai and they look awesome. Props to an early Hyundai!

After seeing this car on cardomain and reading that article about how this elantra came to be, i have to say that this is the best elantra on earth. No elantra has gone thru as much work as this lil machine.

Thats right be like every other sheep on the farm and go with everything they do. to be honest this elantra is a black sheep that I would gladly take over an EVO , STI ,ETC . But then again thats me and I've never liked doing what everyone else does.

Do real people buy an IS300 and talk a lot?... I think it's rather amazing that this Hyundai kicks *** at every car show, but much more importantly has the power to go out and send a MkIV Supra TT whimpering home with its tail between its legs. ;)

after it is all said and done it is still a hyundai.

I don't consider this car to be "still a hyundai." With a Mistu 4g63, the car is only hyundai on the body panels he hasn't changed. It's more of a Mitsu-aftermarket hybrid than pure hyundai.

I think most people here realize that Hyundai has not made a true sports car. Hyundai's lack the RWD or AWD, horsepower, structural stiffness, weight distribution, etc needed to make a good platform for a sports car.

But nevertheless this car has broken boundaries and it demands respect. Good job!

I've seen this car in person and it is very nice. He's done so much work to this thing it is really incredible. Hard to believe it is a Hyundai with everything he has in there. The Mitsu Turbo is something though. I know of the future plans on this thing and this car will be highly regarded where it goes.

You'd be surprised how the shows are going. This year, I think every show I've attended with my car and without there is a Hyundai class, and better yet, some are seperated into Hyundai Tiburon class - mild and wild, and Hyundai Other - mild and wild.

Because of the history of Hyundai it's hard to get people back onto the bandwagon....but as everyone knows Hyundai is becoming a real company to reckon with. Upon my last research we are now ranked second behind Toyota in quality - based on the first 90 days of ownership compared to the number of complaints and repairs on the car.

Doing up an Hyundai is really great, and you know why? People look at your car and don't know what the hell it is. You aren't in the Honda category so you don't have to go nuts and all out with the work you put into it to even try and make a dent when competing. Hyundais are not the typical car to do up, that's what's fun about it. People look at your car at shows, approach you and ask TONNES of questions about it cause they own the same car and are baffled that you could do something like this to it. Elantra's are grocery getters for many families, that's why you can see the increase on the roads. Some want to take it to the next level and good for them. The more Hyundais that are done up and go to a show are more likely to make a category there and have it stick as those shows become annual events. People that have cars like this widebody that go to shows, may I be so bold and say are standing up for the company. How do you think Honda started with their "Rice Nation"? Because more and more people started doing up Honda's - most in the wrong way, but you know what I mean. You don't see Saturn's done up much...perhaps one day they will be. Hyundai's are finally getting recognition, and I think it's about time.

This widebody could compete outside of it's class, that's how good it is.

yeah I talk a lot and can back it up thanks considering I was in the hyundai scene way before A LOT of the people on this board.

Also, let me see how many HYUNDAI classes our @ a show..let me think Zero, how many class specifics's are there?...for everything else, Lexus, toyota, honda etc...so when hyundai gets its head out of the ground builds a better car then maybe they will get treated fairly.

They don't now, the cars are not up to where others are @...plain and simple...they can not compete in the market. REASON why I no longer own the POS called a Tiburon

If you don't own a Tiburon or any Hyundai anymore, then why would you still be posting useless stuff on Hyundai Forums? If you have been in the Hyundai scene for longer than any of us, then why don't you have some usefull information for us. Oh wise one.

I have seen that widebody elantra in person. Plain and simple. IT ROCKS.
It has tons of "Show" and more than enough "Go".

K, everyone, don't turn this into a flame or gripe or anything. It's about danga's widebody....he's come here to show it off.....not have people take this offtopic and start complaining about things that aren't relevant to his car.

I see, SPIKE doesn't get to bash Hyundai's on RDtiburon.com anymore so he does it here eh?

Sad.

Someone's gotta try to keep you off of the sites. What good do you do for us? Nothing. You are a loser. Always have been, always will be Jason. It's a fact. Sorry bro.

I came here because, as usual, other folks sent me a link so I could keep up with your stupid anti Hyundai Comments.

Why would I be jealous of your skinny beanpole ***? Bring it, like I told you before.

Keep up with your ugly *** car.

:threadjac Enough! Look at this thread, it's suppose to be about dangahboi's elantra, not your guys' animosity toward each other. Stay on topic, you know, the show-winning, soon-to-be drag racer, and totally unique creation of dangahboi.
