So someone asked me today why I haven't been posting. Don't take it personally. I still love you all and think about you often. My life has been a little turned around and upside down. Some good... some bad... just some different.
About six months ago I switched jobs. (I don't remember if I posted on that or not, and I'm too lazy to search right now) I was an Assistant Manager for Wal*Mart and then I decided I wasn't crazy about the company anymore. I don't have bad things to say... It was just that after 5 and a half years of working there, Wal*Mart had changed and I had changed and it was time for me to do something new. It was also the only place I had ever worked. So I went to Target. Ha. (Big change, right?) Actually, it's a very different company (I won't bore you with all of the specifics.) But the main point it, I love it and I'm much happier. I feel a lot less stressed and more appreciated. I am back in school and loving that as well. As I'm writing this I'm thinking I may have posted on this in past... I don't know... sorry if I'm repeating myself. Everyone should want to hear my full life story 15 times.
The next reason I haven't posted is I haven't modded anything in nearly a year. Not that I haven't wanted to, just that with the change in jobs came a change in funds (sometimes you have to take a step back to take a step forward.) I've been trying to fix some bad financial choices I've made in the past and sadly, modding is not condusive to that. (I have been saving for aaaaaages for an iPod though. And I bought one and that is my current mod. Yay!)
Back before the winter I got a flat and went to Pep Boys to have my aftermarkets switched out to my stocks... it was cold out and I don't have a garage... so it was just worth it to me to pay the money to have them changed by someone else. Well... when they took the rims off they discovered that all of the studs had been crossthreaded and damaged by the aftermarket lugs I had used. (They were the ones that BSA and posts on here said to use... so I don't know what happened.) So... all of the studs and lugs had to be replaced... very expensive... I'd recommend avoiding that whole issue if you can. I was at that point, disguted with myself and modding. So, if someone can clear up what kind of lugs I should use... that would be appreciated. Also... I'm going to need new tires... so any suggestions on that. I know there are about a billions posts on people's preferences... I'm don't race, and I'm not looking to spend a ton of money. Of course I want good quality... but I don't need something for crazy performance, my car is basically a daily driver that I like doing fun things to. I just hated the crappy Nankangs that came on the wheels... they were super slippery on wet road even at low speeds when stopping at a stop sign.
So yeah... I'm sorry about the ridiculously long post. And I'm sorry I haven't been around. I promise to pop in more often.
Love you all,
Christine
