It looks like he welded it himself, unless a place sells that.

one must becarful when making a split intake, it is like the exuast tomuch can heart you. with that stock exuast man i dont think he is seeing many gains from it, and the smaller the motor the less you are going to see from it. i new a guy that had it on a del sol stock saw no gains when he put nos on it the split intake helped him out.

Probably having a bigger surface area will weaken the "suction" of the filters...

wow...theres no way a stock D16z6 (its the same motor i got in my sol) will need that intake...it almost looks like one of the intakes from autozone that you piece together yourself...but with the 2 filters i think it defeats the purpose, one is pulling air from the fenderwell, and the other is getting (hot) wir through the radiator...

i actually had an idea i had for a dual intake, onle making one a shielded SRI that would be wrapped, and the other would be a wrapped CAI with bypass...

^ why do you think my idea remained an idea? its impossible unless you work out a user controlled valve system

hmmm... seems to me that the NA intake simply sucks in the air using engine vacuum, so I see an advantage in removng the stock restrictive intake which must make it harder to suck in air, but once the intake provides as much air as the engine can use I don't see any advantage by allowing it more air than it can use :)

that post motor will hardly make any more power with two filters vs 1 ...
considering that he's got the stock header on it + what looks to be an otherwise 100% stock motor ... that is just pointless. =)
If anything, it'll make it louder and make it " feel " faster. hahaha

^just like adding stickers to the car.. i think i got about 300whp out of my sedan just in stickers alone

the only way he whould see any numbers from it is if the motor was fully built or force fead..

your not really getting anything out of this after all its like putting a Y in place of the stock muffler it just looks weird... in both cases lol

you'll notice less of a gain from a y'd intake than you would a y'd exhaust...as long as the exhaust diameter corresponds with the setup, it'd be an improvement, but this, this is ignorance at its best...and a D16 doesn't need two filters, even if it IS boosted...

Iv seen that but I cant find it either. Will that help performance wise or is it only for looks?
I can see if it was duel CAI it may help, but even at that im not 100% sure because isnt it possible to suck in to much air?
