My cel had just came one yesterday my reader says its a "emission system leak very small" just wondering have any of you guys ever had a emission leak and if so were was your leak at i just have a bunch of guess on were it mite be but not really sure yet have so if you guys have any expereinces with that give me the 411.

maybe the fuel ventilator?? the box at the end of the car for all the gas vapors?? just a guess...perhaps an 02 sensor??

i guess your going to have to go to the dealer....that sucks

did you mess with anything prior to it coming on? i was cleaning all the grime from my IM last year and pulled the hoses off and put them back on...it set a CEL. i guess there is a hose that runs from the EVAC (i know this is wrong) something cannister back to the IM...it just needed a couple resets of the battery and let the vapors get back into the hose line and back to the IM and it was fine. it was the same code i had

i'll go look at all that i'm also guessing maybe it could be a vacum leak or just a fuel leak. not sure but i'm happy that i just don't have a cali emission system that will be a ***** to mess with or maybe it is 02 sencer because i had got my exhuat manuifold replaced sometime back.

Umm... try opening your gas cap and putting it back on, making sure you turn it 3 clicks and not too much more. If it's the gas cap thing it should go out by itself in less than 5 start cycles.

i'm not sure what gave me the CEL but all i just did was reset it but i'm sure it was something because the code i got was the EVAP so for now i don't have a CEL no more so hopefully it was nothing. But i'm still going to look and see why i got the EVAP code.

I think when you get the SMALL EVAP LEAK code, it's the one that means your gas cap is leaking slightly. Just open it, reclose it, and click at least (but not much more than) 3 times. The light will go out by itself eventually (less than 5 starts).

for months i had a cell code coming from the evap system ...turns out later on this code stopped popping up but i found that the car was leaking fuel from the line up to the fuel rail.... ever since i fixed that i havent had any codes at all

then again it could be that d*mn gas cap.... i know it took me awhile to make sure i put the gas cap on 3 clicks.... um another thing that could be setting of the cel for that is that canster box.... from what im told lots of places that do audio on our cars like to drill into the canister box on the drivers side in the trunk and that can be a nightmare if it happens....My freind works for a hyundia dealer and sees it alot... hope this isnt the case for you... hope this helps

i had an emissions leak... ended up being the flex pipe. got it replaced just a few miles before my warranty ran out, saved me $809.

i replaced the gas cap on my GLS the day that i got it because it was cracked... make sure if it is the gas cap, that its not cracked (as in coming on over adn over again)
