Well after searching high and low for some info on my 03 Elantra GLS I managed to find this link yesterday. I started to read some threads, looked at the DIY page [and what a godsend it is] and then realized I should probably register since it doesn't seem like a community full of well, what normally inhabits most of the internet.

So far I've just read up as much as I can in the various forums, mostly because doing anything to my car besides keeping it in good condition is not my normal thing. Though I think it's going to be since I ordered a TVM short shifter yesterday because I've always hated how long the throw is in my 5speed.

I guess thanks to the members who are already here for being people who actually spell words out, and for seemingly being nice. Because that's so rare nowadays it's scary.

Here's a picture of my baby right after I bought her. The temp plate obiviously isn't there, and I don't live in VA anymore, but other than that she looks the same now.

Welcome to the site mate, looks like a really nice elantra you've got there! :)
You've come to the right place, this forum has a wealth of information, and many friendly people.

The question is, automatic or manual transmission? :D

PS: Many kind regards for including a picture on your first post!

Don't worry about the search, any questions I thought I had I've already answered at this point so now I'm just reading a lot of different threads and gaining more info.
