I just won an Accord CAI on ebay and am reading about the installation. What do you guys use to pad the hole that goes to the fender well like pictured here? (sorry about stealing the pic):)

Use an extra silicon coupler if you have one. Just fit it around the pip in the location between the fender hole and pipe.
Or, if your really ghetto like me, use like, 2 layers of folded duct tape. It worked fine for me!

The kit I got came with a rubber gasket covering the edge of the hole. I just secured the gasket with some tapes. So I guess I'm ghetto but not really ghetto like you. :D :D :D

Just be carefull cause over time the vibration will make a hole in ur cai pipe. Just pick up a coupler from any auto store and slide it down there, or else u will be buying another cai pipe in 5 months

my ebay CAI came with a strip of rubber to line the metal hole with. if yours doesnt, go to the auto parts store, get some small hose (like 1/4" or less) and just slice right down one side and put it over the metal so the metal is inside where you made the cut. it will work perfect
we actually had to do this for seans 255lph fuel pump a couple weeks ago...didnt want the metal holder to cut the fuel pump up any

That hose idea was exactly what I was thinking before I opened up the CAI kit. I actually got a piece of clear PVC piping for it. But my kit came with the strip you're talking about so I didn't have to use the piping.

LOL! I did the same thing. :)
I'd be interested in doing something a little more permanant though it's on my long line of to-do lists...
