G'day Megan and Rosemarry,
I just wanted to welcome you gals to the site.

I'm curious as to whether you chose cars with automatic or manual transmissions, and I hope you can put up some pictures of the cars soon! :)

Enjoy the place, and don't be shy.

Cheers,
Mark

Just being friendly, and I don't like breaking the rules of the other thread, in correspondance with moderators regulations.
FYI I have zero sex drive.

By all means make fun of me, I'm immune to your defamation, and it would be nice for a change to keep this welcoming thread on topic.

Welcome to the site... most of us are normal, as far as it goes for us "car guys."

I hope you enjoy your stay.

I have an automatic transmission. I don't know how to drive a manual transmission, yet, sadly.

Ah, no worries!
One day you'll learn it and love it!
The Elantra was my first manual transmission, and I learnt to drive it from reading a little bit of http://www.standardshift.com before I took it home from the dealer. ;)
I stalled quite a few times, and was nervous for a couple of months, but now I'm used to it, I wouldn't have it any other way.

I think for your age though, an automatic transmission is the right choice!

I bought a mazda 626 5spd when I was 20... the girl I bought it from taught me to drive it. :) I had an automatic before the elantra... I said if I'm buying my own, new car, it's going to be manual!

Welcome to the site, lots of help and information here. Probably save you some $$$ when it comes time to go for servicing or other work.
