What size wheels look best on our Elantras?
Basic sizes only 15's, 16's, 17's or 18's.
(no spinner 22's, no gold spokes a foot out side of the car and no raised up with some giant off road truck tires).
Let me know what you think looks best and also if the pros and cons of that size if any ie. rubbing.

It depends.. I like 15's with a 60 or 55 series tire on my car because I think it looks good with my 2 inch drop.

I don't think I can lower my car any because of my body kit already scraping. I've just seen a picture of 17's but they looked fairly small and had a big gap between the wheel and the wheel well and I wouldn't want that so should I go with 18's?

You could do that.. Can you lower it with the eibachs? the drop is only about 1.2

17" on 215/45 look the best IMHO. 215/40/18 should look equally as good. You'll have to be picky about the offset to get the correct fitment.

If you keep the same OVERALL diameter, the gap between your wheels and your fender will not change. If you saw 17's and the gap looked bigger than stock, then it's because the person bought a wheel/tire package and went with the 215/40's or 205/40's that comes with those packages. 205/45/17 is the closest overall diameter for 17x7 rims, but many of us chose to go with 215/45/17 for a better ride and better choice in tires.

I like 15's, because no drop is needed, however if I had to do it again, which I probably will when my tires get bald, 16's are the way to go, for the increase in handling. :)
I'm not a fan of 17's because they get stolen a lot more, and most of them are HEAVY. :)

17's are ahead in the poll and those are the size I was leaning towards for the same reasons listed above by others.
The prices aren't out of my price range yet (some 18's and bigger are).
There is a large selection.
Less problems with rubbing and such.
I don't have to worry about someone stealing them because I live in a nice area and have a house with a garage that I park my car in.

i say 16 if you arent going to lower it all the way down, they are close to stock in apperance to the untrained eye, and are easier to get tires for in some areas when not shopping online

15" and 16" don't look THAT great but are the best for performances (they are much lighter than 17" or 18")
if you are just going for sexy look, bigger the better

yeah does someone hawe a picture of elantra with 16 inch rims?
I see most people hawe 17 inch rims here but becouse of financies and legal stuff I'm thinkg on going to 16 inch without lowering the car.
btw does the 215/45 -17 tire scratch if the car is not lowered?

215/45 will cause rubbing no matter what springs you are on... if you are lucky with nothing in the back, then you may be fine... from what ive heard, lowered or not, then i would go with 205\40 as far as 17s go

I think a 15 or 16 inch rim looks great with a nice drop.

+45 offset & stock factory -0.92% camber in the rear and you will likely NOT rub.

Agreed; can't remember who, but doesn't someone here have 16 inch Konig's with a nice drop on their GT?
17 inchers are nice, but depending on where you live, potholes might be a problem.
