17" tires I believe weigh in the 21-22 lb range, which would make your rims 9-10 lbs. My wheels are forged, and they're not even THAT light. I would be concerned about how strong they are if they're that light and not forged.

I myself would of went with 15" konig heliums, they are 10lbs each... but they are only 4x100... so im with 13lb Rota Slipstreams with 20lb BFG tires so thats 33lbs, but I do notice a difference from stock, and braking seems to be much easier now.
Btw: What tires do you have how much do they weigh? I thought tires for 17s usually weigh more....

I can't find any tire weight specs right now... Yokohama used to list in their specs the weights, but it's no longer there. It can very a few lbs from one tire model to another.

well stock tire/rim is what 40lbs or so? if that is the case, then a 17" with tire compared to a 15" with tire, then that does seem to be a lightweight rim, considering that it is a bigger surface area, more matrial needed to make it, and yet still weighs about the same.

The rims I'm looking at are ADR RSL Elites....In Titanium/Bronze color. w/ 205/40s.

^ dont go with 205/40s...they are way too small! either 215/40 which i have (but still smaller than stock) or 205/45 which is pretty close to stock or 215/45 which is a little over stock...by like .2

the konigs i have weight 17lbs...i have not weighed the combo but are definetly lightier than the stock alloys :D

205/40's work Fine, I wish I would have just gotten those instead of the 215/45's

205/40's will work fine and they will look good with the drop you have. The ride will be a bit bumpy but im sure thats not a big deal.

for information's sake:

When I changed out my wheels and tires a few weeks ago, I weighed them (bathroom scale, accuracy may be questionable). My OEM steelies with tires came in at about 38lbs. My 17x7 Excel wheels with 205/40/17 tires weighed 42lbs.

I'm not sure I'd believe that 31 pound figure. Looking at some of ADR's wheels at WheelWeights.net, I don't see anything nearly that light:

I checked that website out. RSL Elites aren't even listed. And only1db, I'm not worried about other people buying the rims...i'm worried about the fact that every time I post a rim in this forum that I'm "100000%omfgomfg gonna buy" ....I never buy them.
But these. Oh yes. I'll post pictures when they are on my car...hahaha.
