Hey all just browsing the jegs website when I came across this Thermometer Radiator Cap (http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?lang=-1&catalogId=10002&storeId=10001&categoryId=69408) looks awesome and next time I have some free cash (after getting a cai and aem valve combo of course) I am going to be getting one, however I am stooped as to if this would fit an elantra. What are your thoughts on this and which one (pressure wise) am I supposed to get? (I am assuming the small import cap, what pressure though?)

As long as the pressure is better than OEM, you're good. OEM is 1.1 kg, some aftermarket is 1.3 kg, and I've seen some that are 1.5 kg. The higher the pressure, the more it takes for your fluid to boilover. The problem with what you're trying to order is that there's a few different type of caps for small import cars.

I know that higher pressures makes it so it has a higher boiling point, but the system was only designed for a certian pressure level, any higher and you could probably damage something that was not designed to operate under those pressures, any lower and the cap will just pop off at least thats what I recall from h.s. auto shop, correct me if I am mistaken. No diss but I do have an older car and I do baby it ;) I want to get what spec'd out for it when possible unless there's an upgrade available....

According to this, you'll want a minimum of 1.1 kg/cm^2 which equals to about 15.6 PSI
For the small import market, there's generally 2 different kind of radiator caps: one type fits most Honda/Toyota/Scion. The other type fits most Nissan, Toyota, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Subaru.
I can't say with 100% certainty which one you'll need, but with my cousin's Mazda 626, our radiator caps looked identical and I was able to interchange the 2 and fit mine on his radiator, and vice versa.
