Clear Side Markers on the GT huh?

I finally just said to hell with it im going to do it.... im going to get clearside markers... well as we all know the VW ones didnt work :mad: . So I made my own way..and no its not ghetto. Ok gt people; first you gotta order youself the black trim with no spot for the sidemarkers then you have to match up the current hole on the old trim with the new trim. Last you have to buy the verna clear side markers and make sure you cut the trim so the little clip is snug and bam you have clearside markers. :D check out the pics below

what you describe can basically be done with ANY sidemarker! lol!

i want to see pics without the bra to know if it looks even half decent sticking out like that

yeah maybe, but i would be concerned about the way the sidemarkers fit, if they sit flush or not, etc.

on a side note, where did you get the sidemarkerless trim?

i got the trim from the dealer...not to bad at all for price... it was like 33 dollars. dream wanted 46 and they were sold out. I will take pictures of the sidemarkers without the bra... gotta get back to the headlight project

Yeah, I'm more interested in how you got the XD molding without the sidemarkers. Nobody wanted to ship it from Korea. And US dealers shouldn't have it?!? What's up?

wait so those are KDM spec molding with out the lens??? why would you cut them to fit lenses in there???

yes that kdm spec mold without the lens but and i choose those since those sidemarkers are the closest thing to the gt's in style... its the clear verna ones from kspec... well kspec sells them. Anyway i like that everything was pretty much plug and play... nothing like that VW sidemarkers where everything didnt fit.

Does that fit flush? its hard to tell since you took an upward picture and with your shadow its hard to see :( if so I would be interested as well

txd if u can get a GB going for the KDM moldings you will make a lot of people happy, and will make yourself some good rep in order to sell those headlights of yours ;)

They sit flush, you can tell in the first few pictures.

what do you guys think???? oh and i put white 194 led lights in them. looks after market at night without the ricey blue color... hehe kind of matches my hid lights... since Led lights that are white always seem to have slight hint of purple.

logically, if he cut the trim, then the sidemarker has like 1/4" sticking out

yup SuperGlS is right about that... dream is sold out of the xd molding however thats why i went to the dealer and they were able to special order it for me thanks to my friend "rich" at the dealership so im sure for all those xd people and xd 2 people we could get a GB going on and that would probley lower the price a good amount ... but i cant say yet.. I need to know how many gt s are intrested from 01-06 just let me know if your intrested and ill start a list and talk to the dealer

Dont even get me started with KDMbit*h.. We had that blow out a few months ago because he said he DIDNT ship large items like that and thats why he ignored my PM's for months because I wanted the korean spec molding, but I had no clue he didnt ship large items like that untill he for once responded to my post and PM's.
