I ordered my tires yesterday. Should be here by next week, and will hopefully have them on the car by next weekend. I purchased the Falken Azenis RT-615. They are 215/40/17. From what I have read, and I know a lot of people who auto cross they are one of the best tires next to a dedicated race slick. I got them for $102 each plus $52 for shipping. Then I will probably spend around $50 for install. So all in all a little over $500.

Nice choice of tires. Do you auto-x or is this for daily driving?

It is going to be for very spririted daily driving. Some drag racing at the track, but very seldom. I might do an auto x sometime this summer. I will have to get my new struts in, and get my new end links. The rear end links are shot on my car.

Finally got them from UPS today. I have an appointment on Thursday at 6:30 to get them mounted and balanced. Took some pics of the tires. I am pretty excited to get them on, so I can bask in the glory of really nice tires.

Awesome tires, unbeatable price. Just watch out because they wear pretty fast with constant abuse.

I was reading the traction rating description on the tag of the tires. And I believe that rating is for rain.
direct quote from the Falken tire tag:
The traction grades, from highest to lowest, are AA, A, B, and C. Those grades represent the tire's ability to stop on wet pavement as measured under controlled conditions on specified government test surfaces of asphalt and concrete. A tire marked C may have poor traction performance. WARNING: The traction grades assigned to each tire is based on straight ahead braking traction tests, and does not include acceleration, cornering, hydroplaning, or peak traction characteristics.

Not that it affects the performance of the tires, but when I ordered my tires online, they at least shipped it covered in a plastic bag.

These tires are the greatest mod I have done to my car yet, and I have a decent list of mods going so far. Especially braking during corners. I extremely recomend these to everyone.
