CD player and DVD player

So, I am going to put in a screen like 03silverbullet has. I was wondering, if I get a single din CD/DVD player for cheap with the screen, can I set it up so that the speakers are wired to both my stock headunit, and the dvd headunit underneath it. The one that comes with the screen I'm looking at is a good price and I don't really want to spend anymore than that, but it's not very user friendly, which is ok for DVD's that are going to last a few hours, and that only the passenger needs to worry about, but not ok for a driver who is changing cd's and what not. So I'd like to keep both if it's possible.

Please advise. I'm a total noob when it comes to audio/video in cars!

i have a buddy who did this in his haaanduh, ill ask him and see if he can give me a non ebonics answer...IMO its freakin awesome watchin somethin like blackhawk down...the surround sound effect with his system was amazing :drool:
