just today i purchased a 2006 elantra...i previously owned an accent which was totalled in an accident. I have looked for many parts and have a general idea of where i want to go with my elantra but do have one question...this topic can be moved if needed.
i found the supercharger for the 01-03 and know that there is slight differences in the motors but was wondering if the supercharger off of hyundaiperformance would work on my 06?
if i have any other question which im sure i will then you will be hearing from me.

Congratulations on your new car, and welcome to the site.

All I've heard is there are many problems with Forced Induction in the '06 models due to the TCU change from the earlier XD2's, however, this might only be related to turbocharging. (need backup here)
You might even need to get a beta2 head without the HVT technology, because that might make a difference too, which = big $$$

Advice: Work on appearence & suspension first, and keep putting money aside for when a reliable turbo/supercharged kit is developed for your brand new spanking '06.

Great choice on the colour, did you get a sedan or hatch? Manual or Auto transmission?

Cheers,
Mark

i got a sedan auto and in silver.....i wanted to get an auto with a bigger car.... im not looking to get a new head because dont feel like changing out all that on literally a brand new car...is there any difference in the cars between 2004-2006? and which parts do work on the 06 from 00 on...for instance the intake and exhaust cam gears?

2004-2005 are the same, 2006 had a new TCU (Transmission Control Module), being that you have an automatic, the maximum you'd want to go to is 200hp.

Intake's are all the same, accord intake is your best bang for buck, read all the threads.

I don't know at this moment what an exhaust cam gear is...maybe it's kind of like a muffler belt? ;)

An exhaust cam gear is a gear that let's you adjust your cam timing.

welcome!
Alpine is perhaps the only company that can offer you a s/c kit and they are the ones that you mentioned, you should contact them to see if there are any issues with using it on your car, your best bet would be talking to them. But in the meantime since the car is new, you should stick to smaller mods to see if the car is worth investing a lot of money into forced induction. Btw way do you have the ULEV or SULEV, cuz im not sure if that will affect anything as well. Also SEARCHING = your friend.

i have the sulev motor...says right on the intake manifold...and the only thing i have ordered so far is the korean AvanteXD, GOLD, and CVVT emblems...but thats it for now...im looking for clear side markers but cant find any that actually fit the 04 and up...and dont want to have to modify anything....the car is a lot of fun to drive already though...going from a fixed up accent to this...the elantra is just as fun to drive and my sooped up accent and i havent even begun to modify it....it handles very similiar too for such a bigger car i was shocked....im prolly gonna get the injen intake from evofusion next though....ive noticed on my accent and from what everyone posts that is where the fun is, is feeling the power gain from the restrictive stock intake....
