Hi,

I wanted to install a pair of 6 1/2" speakers in the front doors but they don't exactly fit the factory size speaker bracket, which is 6 3/4". After doing some research, I found these adapters that may solve my problem:

http://www.mjmautoinnovations.com/sak7t65.htm

I also found ones from crutchfield.com but they are very expensive and the aftermarket speakers that I have are only $50 ($100 when I bought them for a Nissan that I had before), so I don't want to spend too much money on the installation.

Have anyone tried similar adapters? Would those adapters from mkmautoinnovations.com fit?

I wish I have the tools to make my own!! :(

Thanks,

you shouldn't need any hardcore specialty tools. or just borrow some. it's gotta be cheaper

Thanks for the reply.

I already had seen that DIY post. The problem here is that I don't have any tools and I wasn't thinking on spending money buying them just for making my own adapter. I guess I could ask somebody at work.... but I don't want to brake other people's things. :D

I just wanted to be sure that any adapters I may buy will fit in my car.
