I have an 06 GLS and plan to get a new Head unit soon, but my buddie is gave me one of his amp and sub packages I would like to test ASAP. The amp has speaker level inputs (I know not as good as RCA, but I know the OEM deck doesn't have RCA) I will use. I know how to run the amp power thanks to searches I have done here....thanks. My only question is with the Remote Power line. Will I have to run one to the factory deck? Is there a way around it. If so, where would I attach it?

If it is too much hassle I may just wait a couple weeks until I can get a new head unit (Kenwood X590 is top choice currently, anyone else have one)

Thanks,
T-Dogg

find the wiring diagram and it should show you what wire you need to splice into... even with some aftermarket HU you have to splice that wire into an existing one.

If the stereo does not have a remote wire built in you will have to get a ( I forget what it is called) a remote converter, witch will use a siginal from any positive speaker wire to activevate the new remote converter. witch will give the amp the remote siginal to turn on. I just put 1 in my friends honda gold wing. If you need more help you can PM me and I will try to explain better

with a lot of amps, if you use the speaker level inputs, you don't need to hook up the remote wire. what brand/model is it?
