Audio system: Stock or Upgraded?

I was curious to know just how many people have upgraded their audio systems from the stock one. If you have added stock components like the OEM tweeters or CD changer you still fall into the stock category. Upgraded means aftermarket parts.

When I the car was new, I had an original hyundai stereo cassete sys. - I've changed i to Sony CD System! UPGRADED!

No.

I've upgraded from stock cassette to stock cd player, to another stock cd player. And have added the stock tweeters. I have also replaced the drivers side front speaker once because mine stopped working.

I'm still stock for now (except for changing out the 6x9's to Kenwood 180W's).
I'm waiting for now, I definately want ONE 10" woofer in the future, new component front speakers, and a head unit + amplification of course...

I still can't decide on a head unit (after 6 months of active looking) and audio really isn't my main priority at this stage of my modding.

I added OEM Hyundai tweeters out of an old Tibby, but my head unit is upgraded.

Got my Elantra on a Friday; by Monday morning I completed my first mod: I removed the AM/FM Cassette and replaced it with a Pioneer DEH-P3700MP (http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/product/detail/0,,2076_4039_149245002,00.html) and also added a CD changer in the rear cargo area, a Pioneer CDX-P686 (http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/product/detail/0,,2076_4049_70228257,00.html) 6-Disc Changer. These two components link together through a Pioneer IP Bus cable.

The speakers are still stock, but adding the tweeters makes a huge difference in clarity of high end. All the high end stuff never made it out of the footwell without the tweeters.

My old Elantra I pulled out the stock cassette deck & replaced it with a stock cd player - it was only $35. Always thought the sound quality was mediocre at best. The Sonata I replaced the headunit with an aftermarket (Alpine CDA-9857) because I wanted XM radio. Speakers are still stock & are fair. Might upgrade them down the road, still debating that.
