So im running a 4G wire through my car to my trunk and in my trunk i had a cruddy distribution block that i used one input from to run an 8G wire to my 1100w mono amp. I know have 2 amps, an 1100 w mono, and a 600w 2ch.

I bought a new fused distribution block from wal-mart (one of those scorche ones yea i know) and the two fuses are each 30a. My mono amp is running at 550rms and my 2ch is running at 300w rms. For some reason, when i hook both of them up, only one turns on. I check all my wiring and grounds and i think the fuses are good. I then tried hooking up every cable to the same terminal in the distribution block, and both the amps turned on.

My system is already fused on my 4G wire as soon as it comes off my battery. Should i leave the 2 smaller wires unfused? Or should i somehow try to get a coople fuses with higher ampage?

I would leave the two smaller wires unfused. I have the scosche wiring 4ga kit in my car with one amp running the subs and another amp running my front components. I just used a splitter for the 4ga battery wire to two smaller wires for each amp. Haven't had any problems with them.
