- $16000
2004 Ford Mustang GT V8 SOHC - RWD, 5-Speed Manual, Leather, etc.
- 260 HP/302 TQ
- 21 MPG avg.
- $21000
2004 Ford Mustang V6 - RWD, 5-Speed Manual, Leather, etc.
- 193 HP/225 TQ

- $18000
2004 Hyundai Tiburon V6 - FWD, 5-Speed Manual, etc.

if it wasnt for the elantra, i woulda gotten the v6 mazda. i had a 2dr car in the past and couldnt stand it, so the stang lost my vote

yeah, 2dr isn't my best friend, but stangs are cool, have a large crowd and the largest aftermarket ever.
the v6 mazda is my first choice, as well as first on my list ;)
Mazda 6 is my fav midsize sedan too! But how about the new Sonata! Can't beat it for the price, just like our Elantra! Probably can get a BRAND NEW Sonata for the price of a used Mazda 6. I am sure some Sonata owners will chime in.

i feel that the descion is also based around aftermarket availability

Mitsubishi Lancer - Ralli Art or OZ

not a big lancer fan actually... i did look into the sonata, even the cobalt ($15,000 new), but i wasn't too sure about those, and i'd really like to move past the I4s (cobalt). the new sonata is really nice, i like it a lot, but i don't think it's the kind of car im after.

well, i think the mustang is out, cause i'd want the v8 with it and the gas is too much. also, the whole two-door thing doesn't float my boat... i guess mazda 6 it is...

My boy has a 6S and that think has some get to it and I also test drove one and loved it. Hawked a SLK with a compressor in it and left his *** around a turn that he was scared to take at 90MPH. What a ***** if the 6 took it than I damn well know the SLK would. Get the 6 you will be happy with your choice.

mazda is nice...but the only 6 i would get would be the speed 6 like stussy bought.
what about the GTI? or a used r32?
sonata does not come with a stick...which is probably one of the reasons why its not listed....rumor has it that there will be a sport package with a 6speed...we'll see.

that is one reason, good job
the speed 6 is nice, but im done with 4 bangers, i'll turbo the v6 and put the speed6 away, haha.
i'll still have the XD, i am giving it to my mom as her daily driver, she's opening a restaurant, needs wheels... and i have a '92 explorer that will be my winter cruiser.
now i need to figure out the paperwork for a 6... and i need to finish getting down payment money :(

How do you feel about the new jetta?

I hope you are not talking bout the NF Sonata. The 4 cyl NF comes with an optional 5 spd trans.I've driven one and it feels nice.

new jetta? i don't know. i'm not buying new, i'm buying a year or two old, but i'm not a huge jetta fan, like the passat more, but they are both pretty expensive
that's good, first suggestion i hadn't thought of though, thanks

you are aware the mazdaspeed 6 is a AWD, 275hp/280 ft/lb torque beast..right? AFAIK, the mazda6 is only available in FWD. youre going to have a hard time competing with an AWD car with almost 300hp even if you turbo the hell out of a regular mazda 6. boost too much and traction will be an issue. get the mazdaspeed 6 and you will have a hard time not being able to get traction :)

Based on the cars on his list, I have a feeling the Mazdaspeed 6 is out of his price range. It's MSRP is $28,555... you're getting close to the Evo/STi price range there.
If you were shopping around about a year ago, I would have recommended the Saab 9-2X Aero. MSRP on it was close to $28K, but many people were able to get the car for under 20K. That was an awesome deal, considering you were getting a better looking WRX for around the same price Subaru was selling the base Impreza for. $20K for Subaru's AWD and reliability, without any of Saab's quirkiness was simply unbeatable.

right about the price range, the speed6 is great and all, but yeah, too much. and it's 274 hp ;)

i am aware...but he wants a v6...he stated no four bangers....
speed 6 rules! all you have to do is test drive one and then test drive the v6 and there is no comparison! not to mention that its fast as hell out of the box. :D

yeah, it is, it is the only 4 i would get, i admit that, beautiful car, but the price tag is out of my budget, and the insurance would be substantially higher, cause of the turbo deal, already checked, retarded!

The Mazdaspeed 3 is coming out later this year I believe. Same turbocharged engine as the Speed6, lighter weight, minus AWD.

awd is a big deal though, haha, but i won't be able to afford it either
