Nice forum guys.

Im Sam AKA Gallas from Melboure, Australia.

Ive just got my p's and my parents gave me there stock 01 Elantra.

Since then i have had 17" installed and lowered. Went cruzzin around with a few mates last night and got some major rubbing. so contacted guys that did the lowering and they imited they made a problem and they were ording new springs NSW and installing them free of charge. Going in for major service next week, then putting in cadance sound system. Post pics in future.

Thx Guys.

Hmm tires are ok.. What is the offset of the rims and what is the drop of the springs?

Not sure what the ofset of the rims are, but with the drop, you can only fit up to your nuckels between the tires and the guard, there sitting very very low.
if that makes sense?

The tire in that picture says 215/45/17.. If this true then thats why you are rubbing with that drop and when you have ppl in the rear.

Welcome to the site mate.
Now that we've got 3 Melbourne members, we can actually organise a meet. :)
Love the rims by the way, and great colour choice.

Cheers,
Mark

thx mate, sounds good for the meet.
when my car is finally out of the shop.

ps: i don't recommend "the tyre factory" in Cheltenham for elantra mods.

LOL! I've been there before, those bastards charged me $25 for a bloody puncture repair...AND I took the wheel off for them... :(
If you ever need a recommendation on a Body shop or mechanic let me know, because I've got two great ones, who do cheap, QUALITY work & I know those two words aren't used together too often.

You're obviously an Eastsider like me. Our other Melb. member (Dean) is a Westie. ;)

Let us know how it all goes...
