I purchased gold BMW and Lexus licence plate covers, in thinking that often the difference between a luxergy car is merely a name on a car. Post my artistic statement, on the street of the bronx I'm starting to feel stupid with this on my car.
Now that I'm feeling stupid about it, is there anything wrong per se with using no cover.
Will it scratch the car to use no licence plate cover?
i don't use covers on mine, no scratches.

the only car i've had a cover on is my EXD cover that i got from Paki for my elantra...no scratches on any other of my 15+ previous vehicles from uncovered plates...

No covers no scratches.
Too bad you didn't tell us you were going to do this before you got the plates, because, we would have all told you it was a bad idea. Live and learn though.
I wanted to get plain white ones but I can't find any, only plain black.

i went to walmart and they sell a plastic backer plate. i wanted this for the reason of scratches and rattling. they work wonders they are made by bell and you can prolly find them almost anywhere.
